Harbinger VARI VS12 12" Compact Powered Subwoofer With DSP

Description
If you dream of a full-bandwidth sonic barrage that rivals the Dolby Atmos setup in your favorite movie theater, you’ll need to add a subwoofer to your sound system. Not surprisingly, the Harbinger VS12 subwoofer is designed to seamlessly partner with Harbinger VARI Live speaker systems (V2408, V2410, V3412 and V3415), but it can lower the boom, rock the bass and start a rumble on the dance floor for just about any PA configuration.

1,000 Watts of Peak Class-D Power Output
The VS12 has a built-in Class-D amplifier that delivers 1,000 watts of clean power for a maximum SPL output of 130dB. That’s a chunky bit of headroom. As a result, the VS12 can promise low distortion and clarity—even if thundering lows are pumping aggressively throughout the venue. To help protect the speaker when the bass is really pumping, the VS12 has clip LEDs for each input to guard against raging signal levels, and front- and rear- mounted limiter LEDs that let you know when maximum volume has been attained.

Effortless Room Tuning With DSP
The Harbinger VARI Live 2000 and 3000 series speakers have a Sub Cut feature that automatically ensures an optimum crossover frequency when a VS12 is added to the system. However, any full-range speaker can be integrated with the subwoofer by setting the VS12’s crossover control yourself and tailoring its response to work with the mains you are using. You can even adjust the VS12’s Time Aligning Delay control to combat phase-alignment issues that can rob the sub of maximum bass. A transparent limiter is also onboard to keep the lows taut and protect the speaker when it's operating at high volume levels.

Massive Bass Made More Portable
Most subwoofers are beasts that working bands and DJs would rather avoid, as they can weigh as much as an adult elephant right after a holiday feast. But at 53 lb., the VS12 weighs less than a VOX AC30 guitar amp, and as iconic as the AC30 is, it can’t pump out low-end sounds down to 35Hz at a maximum SPL of 130dB. To make transport even less arduous, you can bring the deep bass to small clubs by adding just one VS12 to your system. Larger venues may require two VS12s—one mated to each main speaker—but the relatively lightweight VS12 still makes it no big thing to add whopping lows to your performance.

Versatile Stereo Speaker Connections
The VS12 has the inputs and outputs to integrate with just about any sound system. Dual XLR combo connectors accept balanced and unbalanced XLR inputs, as well as 1/4" jacks, so however your system is configured, it can welcome a VS12 to the party. Two XLR outputs let you add more subs for bigger venues, and an output level control is dedicated to the VS12 alone, so you can adjust sub lows without affecting the volume of the connected main speakers.
