Description
The creators of the Hal Leonard Bach to the Drawing Board Game Teresa and Paul Jennings recommend for grades 4-8. This is the musical instruction game you've been asking for!
Take the creative excitement of charades, throw in the fun of drawing your clues, and you've got a great music learning game which gets the whole class into the act.
This versatile game calls for 2 or more teams to guess musical words or simple phrases on easy-to-read cards. The cards are divided into 2 difficulty levels, each with words or phrases in 4 different categories: Musical Things (trumpet, quarter note, orchestra, etc.), Musical People (conductor, Michael Jackson, Beethoven, etc.), Musical Works (Old MacDonald, Stars & Stripes Forever, etc.), Musical Grab Bag ("mi," crescendo, etc.).
Optional instructions make the Bach to the Drawing Board Game adaptable for larger music classes, non-competitive play, and situations where you wish to add musical notation, singing, or dramatic gestures. Also included are a number of blank cards so you can add your own suggestions.
The game is best played at the chalkboard but may be used with pencils and paper (not included). Include your whole class in the Bach to the Drawing Board game to reinforce their knowledge in a variety of musical areas.
