Great bag for Gretsch chubby lower bout models. Most hard-shell cases are 13" or smaller at the lower bout area. Gretsch Les Paul-ish models are 13.5" and won't fit in typical LP or Epiphone cases. I tried the Gibson similar shaped bag and it was hard to close the zipper due to this width. Looked on the Gretsch site as what they recommend and this is the one. Fits Jet's and Club models fine. Very close to the black Gibson bag in weight and padding. Has a black interior material where the Gibson is white that shows string dirt. The zipper is a double pull and seems proper. It has removable back-pack straps. Great bag if you have various size guitars. This baby fits 'em all.

This case fits my Gretsch G5220 Electromatic guitar. The exterior of the case is canvas seems very strong, it has straps on the back and hand carried straps at the middle of the case. The interior padding is thin not sufficient, but I think that if you are careful how you handle your guitar and don't throw it around, it will be sufficient padding. There is a small accessory compartment on the side, but somewhat small, I do think that this case is worth the money that it costs, and I would recommend this to a friend.

Anyone know if a Billy Bo Thunderbird will fit in this bag?
I don't think so. The Jet is relatively small. If you want a branded bag, this is what I have.....Gretsch Guitars Electromatic G2162 Gig Bag.submitted3 years ago
