Gibson

The Gibson Limited-Edition Les Paul Blood Moon is a striking guitar with extremely versatile electronics, and is only available at Guitar Center. The mahogany body has a bound quilted maple top—a classic combination first cooked up in Kalamazoo in 1952. Gibson utilized modern weight relief construction, making this Les Paul difficult to put down even during the longest set or practice jam. A satin Dark Cherry finish captures the color of an actual blood moon, a rare occurrence that only happens every few years. Black chrome hardware and blackened trapezoid inlays match the mood of this total lunar eclipse.

Another special touch on this Les Paul is the neck, made from flame maple. It has an asymmetrical profile that is thicker around the low E and thinner by the high E. You'll find it easily fits the natural contour of your hands, making for comfortable play. The fretboard is dark ebony.

Gibson loaded this Les Paul with dual humbuckers. The ’57 Classic has the warm, rich sound of an original PAF, and is made with the exact same specs—Alnico II magnets, nickel-plated pole pieces, nickel slugs, maple spacers, and vintage-style, two-conductor braided wiring. The Super ’57 is wound hotter, producing sweet vintage tone with extra sizzle. Push/pull volume controls offer coil splitting or tapping—it's your choice via a dip switch in control cavity. The rhythm tone control activates a phase, while the treble push/pull toggles between the inner and outer coils during single-coil mode. It's a wide array of tones, all at your fingertips.

This limited-edition guitar will be the crowning jewel of your collection. It comes with a hardshell case.
