Gibson J-45 Standard Rosewood Acoustic-Electric Guitar Rosewood Burst

Description
The Gibson J-45 Standard Rosewood is a dreadnought-style acoustic-electric guitar with vintage appeal and a voice to match. With its sloped shoulders and spruce-topped, solid-wood body, the J-45 has been an icon since the 1940s. For today’s players, the J-45 Standard Rosewood offers rich, complex tone with articulate highs, robust lows and a midrange that projects. In the studio, the J-45 has a controlled and natural voice that’s effortlessly recordable. On stage, it tastefully sits just underneath a singer-songwriter’s vocals and finds a comfortable place in any full-band mix. This guitar’s been nicknamed “The Workhorse,” and for good reason—the Gibson J-45 Standard Rosewood acoustic-electric sets the benchmark for studio- and stage-ready instruments.

Legendary J-45 Style
Since 1942, the iconic J-45 has prominently served hundreds of famous artists, thousands of session musicians and countless passionate players as one of the most unanimously embraced acoustic guitars of all time. Featuring a rounded-shoulder dreadnought body, the J-45 is more easily cradled than bulkier shapes and still provides powerful projection—a voice that’s made it one of the most recorded acoustic guitars in history. The Gibson J-45 Standard Rosewood acoustic-electric embodies the timeless style and sound of the beloved instrument for a current generation of players to experience the magic of an enduring musical symbol.

Crafted With Premium Tonewoods
The Gibson J-45 Standard Rosewood is built from all-solid tonewoods, prized for their inherent resonant and sonic properties. The rosewood back and sides impart a slightly fuller bass response and tonal complexity compared to the original mahogany, and the solid Sitka spruce top produces gorgeous overtones with clear highs and mids. Together, these wood selections generate the warm, balanced voice that has defined the J-45 for decades—a sound that’s both agreeable and assertive, never sheepishly shy or brashly bold.

An Inviting Neck for Effortless Playing
The J-45 Standard Rosewood’s neck is made from mahogany—a sturdy wood that provides stability, sustain and a mellow sound. Its SlimTaper profile feels comfortable and familiar right away, appealing equally to beginners or seasoned pros, and the contemporary carve is an inviting departure from the “baseball bats” found on early J-45s. The Indian rosewood fingerboard has rolled edges for a smooth, natural feel under your fingertips, while dot inlays provide reference points without distracting from the visual beauty of the natural wood. With a scale length of 24-3/4" and 20 frets, the J-45 Standard Rosewood handles chords and single-note runs with equal ease.

Electronics Amplify Your Performance
The J-45 Standard Rosewood comes equipped with an L.R. Baggs VTC pickup and preamp system, allowing you to plug in for live shows or recording. Controls are mounted inside the soundhole, providing easy access while maintaining the guitar’s aesthetic integrity. The VTC system captures the natural acoustic voice of the Gibson J-45, letting the organic tone shine through whether you’re playing through an amplifier, PA or recording interface.
For musicians looking to invest in an acoustic that will become a lifelong companion, the Gibson J-45 Standard Rosewood is an inspiring choice. Its timeless design, premium tonewoods and onboard electronics provide exceptional value along with the heritage of an American icon. I watched "Guitar Setup and Maintenance," by Denny Rauen, and figured I would set this puppy up.. Ha. No need, it was exact to the specs of a master luthier. Then I played some Arpeggio and some Rancheras, Blues, and some Classical Waltz's and hit Great. enough said.
