Gibson

In designing the 2019 line of guitars, Gibson was determined to restate their classic designs. This "back to the basics" approach is reflected perfectly in the 2019 ES-335. From its introduction in the late '50s, the 335 has been a presence in virtually every musical genre where electric guitars are a means of expression. The preferred tool of greats in blues, jazz, rock, country and more, the 335's warm, woody tone has shown up again and again, proving that some forms, once discovered, are eternal.

Gibson USA ES-335 Neck Shaping

Built for comfort

A 3-ply maple/poplar/maple back, sides and top, paired with a solid center block and spruce bracing, give the ES-335 its distinctive personality. Combining the warmth of a traditional archtop guitar with the added midrange punch of a solid body, the 335 feels instantly at home. A quarter-sawn mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard feature comfortable rolled-edge binding and classic dot inlays, along with a traditional bone nut that contributes to both tone and sustain.

Gibson USA ES-335 Pickup Bin

Wired for classic tones

The 2019 ES-335 is loaded with Gibson's '57 Classic and '57 Classic Plus humbuckers. These pickups are designed to capture the famed sound of Gibson's original PAF humbuckers. Wound in Gibson's factory like all Gibson USA pickups, they are the result of a carefully controlled production process designed to reliably deliver the sounds that made Gibson guitars famous worldwide. Wired with Gibson's "Memphis Tone Circuit" and featuring Orange Drop capacitors, you'll find all the classic tones you've been longing for in an ES-335.

Whether you like traditional looks or take a more modern approach, the 2019 ES-335 has a finish that will match your needs. Carefully applied by Gibson's master painters in their factory, the thin nitrocellulose lacquer finish will age with the guitar, providing a patina that reflects each individual owner.
