After Buying a Gretsch G9220 I went ahead and got the JD Aura pedal. I feel it's a bit over price, or should have more tone adjustments, feedback tools, etc.. I didn't realize it has 2 modes for the foot switch. One mode mutes everything, the other mode toggles between pickup only and aura only. The mute mode is very useful. There is a slight volume drop toggling between the pickup/aura, but I don't need to toggle, I'm keeping the aura pedal on all the time. I Plugged it into a PA it sounded really good. I also tried it into my Morgan DAG15 and a Roland KC300. I have not played it through a Loudbox amp yet. The Morgan had some lower mids cut, but sounded pretty good. Maybe not exactly a real reso tone, but useful. KC300 didn't sound good at all. One concern, there is a considerable mid bump on all of the images. and I was fighting feedback at loud volumes. It performed as advertised. Makes my inexpensive reso sound like a pro level guitar. Over all it's a pretty cool pedal. I hope it holds up.
Great item, must buy!

If I plug directly into a PA system from the JD Aura pedal, do I need a impedance transformer for 1/4" phone plug to XLR adapter, or a 1/4" to XLR adapter only? Thanks!
No. Your board should should take a line level just fine.
