I came in wanting an active 5 string and left with this, best bang for the buck and plays well above its price tag. I brought it home, changed to my favorite strings, little adjustment on the truss rod and it is perfect. Mine has a rosewood fretboard and the finish seems darker on mine but the Seymour Duncan pickups are amazing!
Awesome playing and sounding bass

I'm a long time guitar player that recently picked up bass. I went in planning to get an American professional ii p bass, but after trying this Saturday night special, I was sold! Great feeling neck and the Seymour Duncan sound incredible!
This is the perfect B Bass that I was gassing for!

I love this bass. The looks are magnificent with the metallic Daytona Blue color, the maple fret board and the white pick guard. I dressed it up with a 3" wide, white leather strap and it is just gorgeous. The construction is pure for a MIM Fender Player model. I love the C-shaped P Bass neck, the frets are finished smooth and tight, and it has a satin finish on the back. It is so smooth and a pleasure to play with no buzz or dead spots. The chrome hardware looks great, keeps it in tune and has good sustain. I especially love the Seymour Duncan Midnight Special pick ups. They are hot and have just the perfect thumpy P Bass tone that I was searching for. What can I say, it looks great, sounds great and plays like buddah.
