Advanced Amp Modeling and Effects

The Mustang GTX 100 features Fender's most advanced amp modeling technology, authentically replicating coveted vintage Fender tone as well as British and modern amps. Choose from 40 amp models, including '57 Deluxe, '65 Twin Reverb, '59 Bassman, JCM800 and more. Dozens of effects include reverb, delay, overdrive, distortion, compression, tremolo, phaser and chorus. Move your effects anywhere in the signal chain for completely customizable tone. Wi-Fi Connectivity and Fender TONE 3.0 App

The Mustang GTX 100 features Wi-Fi connectivity to download the latest firmware and preset updates, ensuring your amp always has the latest technology. The free Fender TONE 3.0 mobile app provides an authentic interface to control your amp. Select amp models and effects, edit parameters, backup and restore presets, and browse curated presets from the Fender Tone community. The app's realistic designs let you adjust knobs and switches just like the real gear.

Bluetooth Streaming and Footswitch Control

With Bluetooth streaming, you can play along to your favorite songs through the Mustang GTX 100. The included seven-button footswitch provides individual bank up/down functions, effects on/off and tap tempo control, allowing you to switch sounds and activate effects without missing a beat. The footswitch also unlocks the amp's built-in 60-second looper for looping layers and practicing solos.

I am Very happy with this amp!

I was a huge fan of the Mustang III V.2 In fact I still have one till this day. I bought the Mustang GT the first day it was available at my local guitar center. I returned it within a week. The functions were so buggy and the sound was just not good. I was really let down with the GT. I had since moved on to other modelers including the Helix, Head Rush, Boss GT1000, Atomic amplifire and also Many tube amps. The GTX offers so much in a great looking package and sounds wonderful. I wouldn't say the presets sound that great out of the box but with a little tweaking you can get a really nice sound. It doesn't take much to get a sound you really enjoy. I find myself playing this more than any other amplifier I own and my Helix that I still currently have. However there are a few shortcomings. The only thing I would say about the amp it's self is that the dials and screen are on the backside of the amplifier which makes it hard to see unless you are standing right above the amp. However this does not bother me because I mainly use the Fender Tone app on my iPad which is wonderful! Fender has added a lot of effects that sounds great but are pretty basic. I still think they could add more. Again, maybe in future updates. The positive thing about the effects is that you can add more than just one of the same type. There are a few bugs with the app that I'm sure they will fix in the future updates. The 7 button foot switch is great but I wish they would've added a tap tempo so you can set the time based affects With your foot instead of having to walk over to the amp and tap with your finger. The amp is loud, it is lightweight, and it sounds great! Would easily be able to practice with a band or gig with. Overall this is the best modeling amp I've ever owned and trust me I've owned a lot and dare I say I enjoy the amp modeling better on this than my Helix, sorry line 6. If you want an excellent modeling, amp look no further!

GTX100 Troubles from the start

Tone App had issues loading, then the WIFI does not connect to the amp via WIFI. Instructions lead you in circles for connecting the amp to the app or to manual WIFI. Also footswitch when tuning the indicator lights go away sometimes. Best to tuner via the amp screen, which is not good for live performances.

    This is a surprisingly good modeling amp. Fantastic value for money. I would recommend for anybody who wants to explore lots of different tones. It is definitely great for home use or bedroom use. It can get very loud, so I assume it could also be used for performing. I saw some older reviews mentioning some bugs in the app, but I believe that lots of those issues have been ironed out. I haven't encountered any of those types of issues while connecting my phone to the amp using bluetooth. I think the included footswitch with the looper is a great addition as well. #sweepstakes

    Enjoy using the presets and changing them due to my preferences. Easy to use for woodshedding and capable of gig use do to its 100 watts and the 12 inch celestion speaker.

    #sweepstakes Wonderful variety of sounds in the presets and easy to upload and shuffle new ones on the fly via app. Loud to the extent I can only play 'acoustic' preset without my headphones. Additional line in to play along with classes on iPad - great. And it comes with a 7 switch pedal!!!

    This amp freezes when playing, as others report, in the middle of songs.. Must turn it on and off to reset,, takes 1 to 2 minutes. Totally unreliable for jamming or performances. At best its a bedroom practice amp. Great concept, tones and effects. But not usable as we'd hope.

    Yes, you can connect the Fender Mustang GTX 100 to a powered speaker, but you need to use the correct output to do it properly and safely. Best Option: Use the Stereo Line Out (XLR) The Mustang GTX 100 has stereo XLR line outputs on the back panel. These are balanced outputs designed specifically for sending the amp’s full modeled tone—cab sim, effects, EQ, etc.—to a powered speaker, mixer, or PA. To connect to a powered speaker: Use an XLR cable (one for mono, two for stereo). Connect the XLR Line Out from the amp to the input of your powered speaker. If you're running mono, just use the Left (Mono) XLR out. For stereo, use both Left and Right into two powered speakers or stereo mixer channels. Don’t use the speaker output jack for this.

    I was all excited about buying this amp but when read tap tempo for delay is on amp and not foot switch, probably will not buy. Unless I'm mistaken about that, please advise. Thanks!—Russ

    I notice on the back of the amp it has 2 xlr connections. Can I plug a microphone xlr cable and my guitar cable in the front input for guitar?

    Can a bass guitar be played through this amp?

    Kind of. It will work but you will need to keep at low volume. It has an open back so is not very kind to bass frequencies. Turning up the lows too much will only hurt the speaker.
