When we think Fender, we think instruments: the Stratocaster, the Precision Bass, the Telecaster... not to mention vintage tweed amps and effects. But those aren't the only accessories sporting the Fender name, and while an 8" or 12" driver is great, sometimes you need something more in the 8-millimeter range. We're talking, of course, about Fender earphones, and although they may be small, these little guys pack one heck of an acoustic punch. They're designed from the ground up as high-end in-ear monitors, so you can hear yourself accurately onstage even over the roar of the crowd cheering for you. And in between gigs, they make for a pretty sweet pair of general-purpose earphones as well!

One of the biggest challenges facing any in-ear monitor is that not all ears are shaped the same, and it's hard to come up with a design that's comfortable for everyone. Fender's solution is a special 3D-printed "universal-fit" housing that has a smooth, natural contour - which means that even if the shape isn't 100% perfect for your ears, it's forgiving enough that the earphones will probably still feel comfortable (and that's more than we can say about a lot of the competition). That housing has built-in noise isolation on all models, and the earphones are also fitted with all the standard features you'd expect from professional in-ear monitors, like flexible ear 'socks', detachable cables and ported designs.

So what separates the different models? The drivers, for starters: the entry-level DXA1 monitors use 8.5mm titanium drivers while the top-of-the-line FXA6 and FXA7 up the ante with 9.25mm rare-earth drivers. You'll also start getting balanced armatures at the FXA5 and up, with the FXA6 and FXA7 being single-tuned and dual-tuned, respectively. The bottom line is they're all fantastic earphones, that start great and get even better as you go through the lineup. So if you've been looking for a set of in-ear monitors that are up to the same standards as your Fender guitars, basses and amps, you'll be pretty happy with a set of Fender earphones to match.
