Body and Finish

Alder has been a Fender tradition since 1956, and the American Pro Tele uses it for its classic, single-cutaway body. Made in the USA, this Telecaster has a limited-edition Rose Gold finish with an inherent “wow” factor. It is a guitar that will truly stand out on stage.

Rosewood Neck

It’s unusual to see an all-rosewood neck on any instrument, but that’s exactly how Fender spec’d the American Pro. The Deep C-profile has more mass on the sides making for a more comfortable feel for the fretting hand. The fretboard is also rosewood, with narrow-tall frets for bending ease.

Tim Shaw Pickups

Legendary Fender engineer Tim Shaw designed the American Telecaster Pro’s V-Mod pickups. He incorporated alnico V and alnico II magnets to balance the wound strings with the unwound strings. Alnico Vs offer a bold, tight tone, while the alnico IIs produce a smooth and subtle sound. The combination results in pickups that are high-output with vintage warmth. A treble-bleed circuit maintains the high-end even when turning down the volume.

Classic and Redesigned Hardware

While traditional Telecasters generally have chrome saddles, the American Professional uses brass barrels which are compensated for accurate intonation. The redesigned “ashtray” bridge only covers the tail end of the bridge plate, enabling palm muting without pain. Fender spec’d the Pro with deluxe staggered tuners.
