The American Professional II Series | Fender

Description
Fender brings its American Professional series to new heights with the American Professional II Roasted Pine Stratocaster. This solidbody electric guitar takes everything players know and love about the Strat—from its contoured body to signature sound—and improves upon it. The American Professional II Roasted Pine Stratocaster is crafted for discerning musicians who want a guitar that looks, sounds and feels like nothing else.
V-Mod II Pickups Provide Dynamic Tone with Articulation
At the heart of this innovative Strat are a trio of V-Mod II single-coil pickups. Developed by Fender's pickup guru Tim Shaw, the V-Mod II pickups deliver the chime and sparkle that defined the Stratocaster, with enhanced clarity and definition. From gritty overdrive to shimmering cleans, these pickups pump out articulate tone that cuts through any mix.
Upgraded Bridge Boosts Sustain and Brightness
An upgraded 2-point synchronized tremolo bridge with a cold-rolled steel block provides incredibly stable tuning and tuning stability. The steel block also helps boost sustain and adds a touch of brightness to the overall tone. Bend and dive bomb to your heart's content—this bridge was built to handle it.
Roasted Pine Body and Satin Neck for Unmatched Comfort
At the core of this innovative Strat is a lightweight roasted pine body that resonates freely. A satin-finished maple neck with a modern deep C-profile feels fast and comfortable. Narrow Tall frets make bends and vibrato a breeze. A sculpted neck heel provides easy access to the upper frets. Taken together, these features create an electric guitar that feels like an natural extension of the player's hands.
Push-Push Tone Knob Adds Neck Pickup to Any Position
A push-push tone knob adds the neck pickup to any switch position for a wider range of Strat tones. Get glassy neck/bridge combination in the bridge or middle switch positions or add warmth to the neck pickup. With the push of a knob, a world of sonic possibilities opens up.

Almost too beautiful to play.

I found a 2023 version of this guitar in the used section at GC. I could not believe anyone had ever played it. It's absolutely pristine. The pictures that I've seen don't do justice to the finish. After changing strings I decked the vibrato, did a quick setup, and it was ready to play. The V-mods are particularly bright on the pine body, but the tone controls lets you get that under control easily enough. I'm not finding much use for the push-push switch, but some players will. The neck has a little body to it that may attract folks that have more vintage preferences. I have trouble putting it back in the case at the end of the day. It's such a stunner.
Great Guitar

With this Covid thing there isn't much going on in the way of gigging so just using in studio. I was afraid the roasted pine would sound off but it has amazing ton. The Vmod 2 pups are wonderful. Neck feels great with the rolled fretboard. Frets are a lot more vintagy (is that a word?) feeling than the super jumbo on my other Strat. This might just become my goto. Love it.
