The Fender American Professional II Jazz Bass guitar delivers instant familiarity and sonic versatility that you'll feel and hear right away. Fender's popular Slim C profile neck features a smoothly rolled fingerboard edge, sculpted neck heel and a satin neck finish that feels almost naked, making this an incredibly comfortable bass to play. Freshly revised V-Mod II Jazz Bass single-coil pickups are more articulate than ever while delivering the punch and clarity the Jazz Bass is known for.

New V-MOD II Jazz Bass Pickups Provide Articulate Tone

The Fender American Professional II Jazz Bass features V-Mod II single-coil Jazz Bass pickups which deliver the punch and clarity that Jazz Bass pickups are known for, with an expanded frequency range for a bigger, fuller tone. The bridge pickup has more midrange and less low end, while the neck pickup has more low end and less midrange, for an ideal pairing.

Sculpted Neck Heel Opens Up the Higher Register

The sculpted neck heel on the American Professional II Jazz Bass provides a comfortable feel and easy access to the upper register. Its contours create more playing area, so you can easily navigate up past the 15th fret to play all 20 narrow-tall frets. The sculpted heel, along with the slim C-shaped neck profile and 9.5"-radius fingerboard, makes this a fast, slick-playing bass.

HiMass Vintage Bridge and String-Through-Body Construction

The Fender American Professional II Jazz Bass features a HiMass Vintage bridge that helps produce focused and articulate tone. Its string-through-body construction increases sustain and resonance. The HiMass bridge also helps reduce mechanical vibrations that can negatively color your tone.

Additional High-Performance Features

The Fender American Professional II Jazz Bass, rolled fingerboard edges for a smooth playing feel, tapered tuning machines that help keep strings in tune, and an alder body that provides a balanced tone.

I ordered the Fender professional II jazz bass. Sunburst with the rosewood fingerboard through the Guitar Center online. I had it delivered to the store. When I got it home , I found out the neck pickup didn't work and the (A) string was loose in the bone nut slot. It was returned.

I have used the Fender Jazz Bass for many years, and have been very satisfied with it. This new one, with all its refinements, supercedes all the ones I've used before.

  • I LOVE this Jazz bass!
