They are exactly what I was hoping they would be. Low friction as advertised. As a rough guess, I'd say they're about 3x easier to turn than the stock potentiometers that were on the Jackson JS22-7. (As a frame of reference)

  • Great low friction

Nice sounding. Shaft is larger so simple drill hole out a little in our strat. Sounds good, but I like Seymour Duncan pots action better. I know these pots are made for speed. I get it.

Loved these pots, I noticed a drastic improvement in my guitars sound! I instaled them on my Jackson DX10D (JB/59 set) and it sounds amazing. I bought two of them and wired them both as volumes (one for neck and one for the bridge). They have such low friction that they almost feel broke, but they aren't. I really like them. However, WARNING!! IT DOES NOT SHOW IN THE PICTURE, BUT THESE ARE SOLID SHAFT, MOST STANDARD GUITAR KNOBS WILL NOT FIT ON THEM!!!. I did not figure this out until I got them, but I just took a 1/4" drill bit and bored out the ridges in the plastic strat knobs I have, they work fine now. Overall, fantastic product and would buy again.

  • Love these, will buy more for my other guitars

I replaced my Fender Strat pots with these EVH 500K pots and I couldn't be more happy with the results. My Strat has an HSH pickup config, so the 500K pots work great. But the reason why I love these pots is because of the amazing low friction response - really smooth swells. I also added Tele knobs on my Strat so the Volume and Tone adjustments are effortless. I'll add these EVH pots to my other main guitars.

These pots are very good. They help me to do Volume Swells very well, particularly when I am playing La Villa Strangiato by Rush. I'm sure I could do Cathedral by Van Halen if I wanted to. The only downside is sometimes when I strum more aggresively on the higher/smaller gauge strings, the volume knob gets bumped down a little because of how little friction there is. It's not really a problem for me.

I am replacing the pots in my guitar, but my knobs have side screws. Will these work for that?
