Very Good Mics For The Home Recordist
Like many people, I bought this mic kit after considering more expensive kits and I am glad I did. The four rim-mount mics do an excellent job handling the high SPL of close-mic'ing drums, the kick mic gives a wonderful, deep punch along with a nice "thwack" from the batter. The condenser overheads are clean and clear. I use the four mics on toms and an SM57 on my snare. I'm very impressed with the sound quality I get. The mounting clips are not well designed to mount to different rims, but a little heat applied with a MAP torch let me open the clamping "jaws" up so they fit my drums perfectly. No, you're not getting four SM57s, a Beta kick, and two 414s for $200. But you will get very clean, transparent, full sound to work with without spending $1000. Any kit in the "in between" price range is likely a waste of a few hundred bucks.

Good mics, Be prepared to buy different mic holders
The mic set itself is definitely decent for the money, with the exception of the clips to actually attach it to the drum set itself. Immediately out of the box 2 broke, and guitar center and digital reference would not replace them because digital reference doesn't have replacements for them and guitar center said that it needs to be replaced from the manufacturer. If I was reviewing the mics themselves I would say 4 stars but with how much the trouble the clips have given me I'm only giving 2.

Good starter kit for micing up a drum kit

I Love the clips, and the little dynamic mics are decent enough. I did replace the snare mic with an sm57 and I doubled up the kick mic with an sm7b but overall, especially with the overhead condenser mics, I get a great full eight-track recording that I can edit later. In that same order I ordered the Scarlet 18i20 so I get my full eight independent channels oddly enough recorded with her Raspberry Pi but that's irrelevant here lol.

This was recommended to me and for such a good price, I was surprised how well it worked for a small venue.

We use these for live shows. Drummer has large floor toms so we use two DR-K100's on those and the rack tom the DR-ST100. Kick we use Senn e901, snare Beta57, Hat and OH's Behringer C-2's and all sounds great out front.

Not pro gear but decent for home studio.
Mics appear to be OK, the clips don't work on LP congas

I really haven't had that much of a chance to test the mics, and have really no others to compare them to, so, can't really comment on the sound. The reason I haven't had a chance to test them is that they keep falling off my congas! Bought them for use on my LP congas -- they fall off if you just look at them -- never mind playing the drum.
