The Dean Exile Select Floyd Fluence electric guitar takes performance to the next level. This beast of an instrument offers unparalleled playability and sonic flexibility for guitarists wanting to push creative boundaries. Featuring a high-access heel joint and alder body, the Exile provides the ability to reach every note. Equipped with a set of Fishman Fluence Modern pickups, guitarists can utilize the push-pull tone knob to activate dual-pickup modes and craft additional sounds suited to any style. An amazing feature set opens up a world of tone for the modern guitarist. A Floyd Rose 1000 series tremolo system, menacing black satin finish, three-piece maple neck, 24-fret ebony fingerboard, bound neck and headstock, and chrome foil logo tie it all together to bring out a player's full potential.

Fishman Fluence Pickups Unlock a Multiverse of Tone

At the heart of the Exile are a set of Fishman Fluence Modern pickups, which provide two distinct tones in each pickup through a push-pull tone knob. The "warm" voice delivers classic rock and blues tones with smooth highs, while the "hot" voice is tight and aggressive for high-output metal and hard rock. With the ability to activate different pickup modes, guitarists can go from a vintage P.A.F. sound to a hot-rodded humbucker tone with the flip of a switch.

Floyd Rose Tremolo System Handles Anything

Equipped with a Floyd Rose 1000 series tremolo system, the Exile can handle any level of string bending, divebombing and tremolo work. This German-made bridge system is engineered for precision, providing stable tuning and smooth action. Guitarists can perform radical tremolo effects without the guitar going out of tune. Combined with the Exile's tonal versatility, the Floyd Rose opens up a playground of musical possibilities.

Premium Components and Construction

From top to bottom, the Exile is built with premium components for professional-level performance. An alder body with a high-access heel joint, three-piece maple neck and 24-fret ebony fingerboard provide a solid foundation and effortless playability. Chrome hardware, including die-cast tuners and a TonePros bridge, offers durability and sustain. A black satin finish gives the this Dean Exile a sinister yet sleek appearance. Bound neck and headstock details demonstrate a high level of craftsmanship in this instrument.

Overall a great guitar, love the way it plays and for the price its a no brainer. I will be taking it back however cause it randomly died on me. After a little digging trying to find the problem i took the cavity plate off and there was so much corrosion on the volume pot and wires that i would have to rewire the whole thing and I'm not doing that on a guitar that should be in new condition. Don't let this review turn you off, maybe i just got a bad one but the disappointment is still there.

I would have liked a color more appealing than the same old satin black, but that is all that's offered on that model. My first Dean, and I mainly bought it for the Fishman Fluence pickups. Heard so much hype about em. They are definitely quiet as advertised, but I wouldn't say they are my favorite set of actives. All in all, it plays pretty well. It is being set up right now by my guitar tech, and I should have it back in a week or so to give further opinions on that. My only real issue is that the neck is a little too fat for my liking. I am more a fan of the Ibanez Wizard style, and my ESP guitars. (EC1000, Viper, and Mh-103) My short stubby fingers being the reason. I do like the body style though. Pretty aggressive looking take on a traditional shape.
