Have not used it yet, but believe it will work better than using regular rugs that tend to shift and slide while playing drums. The primary item of contention was not the item itself, but rather that it took so long to get it from the order date to delivery which was over a month! Purchase the item from a different vendor rather than the Guitar Center.

  • Nice carpet, lays flat

I would like to purchase this item for my home studio. I have read a review and a few other comments from people that say that this rug sticks to the flooring and ruins the flooring and the rug. Some say that it will stick to flooring in a house that has a slab foundation (no basement and no crawlspace) and will pull up moisture from the foundation and stain the flooring and the rug and cause mold and mildew. Others say that it is very sticky and cannot be left on wood flooring for an extended period of time regardless or it will become permanently stuck to the flooring. I find this hard to believe, however since I have brand new flooring, I don't want to find out the hard way. So here is my question: I have new laminate flooring in a house that is on a slab foundation. The house is only 20 years old. The studio is on the ground floor. Can I safely use this mat for extended periods of time whiteout ruining my new flooring?
