Wow...just wow...
Try this HH stand and you'll be speechless in about 2.3 minutes. Effortless, smooth, firm, comfy, and AMAZING are just a few words to describe this stand. The hat just floats so gracefully...it seriously made my xs20 hats sound way better. I dont know why or how but it did. Try it, then buy it...

Let me start by saying I am a huge DW fan, I own many of their products. So when I upgraded from my wobbly 3000 hi-hat stand to a 9000, I was expecting a huge improvement. Sadly this stand is twice the cost and only about 5-10% better. It wobbles less but still wobbles (just the nature of a 2-legged stand I suppose). I don't see any difference in the feel of the pedal vs my 3000. Lastly, I'm not sure if this is operator error, but I cannot get the hi-hats to sit flat. The bottom one always has an angle no matter how I set the adjustment screw. I know a lot of people like the angled hi-hat, but I don't because it makes the hi-hat chicks w/ your left foot way too loud. My 3000 I could get them to sit flat OR angled. Overall, this stand is not worth the money. The DW machine-drive hi-hat stand is a good upgrade as it has a unique feel to it, so at least you are getting some DIFFERENT (although maybe not necessarily better) for your money. This stand is just a waste over the 3000 and 5000 series.

Very pleased. Been eyeing 9000 hardware for some time and it lives up to the hype as far as I'm concerned!

I love this Hi-hat stand. It was easy to set up and is very sturdy even with just the two legs. I also love the clutch which seems very solid. I also like that it comes with two pole sizes. The shorter 15" works perfect for my set up.
Top quality stuff! DW has got it going on!

My DW 5000 high hat stand has been faithful and still is. This is a great upgrade and allows me to keep a kit setup in the studio. It is the Bentley of stands and heavy.

This is my first 2 leg HH stand (using double pedals) and I am trying to get used to it - at first it was a little wobbly but after messing with it got better - I will try my old 3 leg stand to see if I can fit double bass pedals with it - 3 legs just are better IMHO! don't get me wrong this DW stand it built like a brick ---- but it is still 2 legs - guess I am just use to 3 legs and stable - I will give it a try - 3 stars because I am still out on it!
