These strings are a perfect fit for my Fender Mustang bass. They have a great sound -- mellow, full tone and more of a string bass sound which is what I wanted for the 18 piece big bands I play in. They are easy on the fingers and play smoothly and are extremely fast and silent. I let another bass player try my Fender and he was so impressed with the strings that he will buy a set.
Do not buy if you have a 34" scale bass

I purchased these on line from Guitar Center and unfortunately these strings are not as advertised. They are specified as being for a 34" scale and if used on one of my long scale (34" fretless Breedlove) the cloth windings start on F# which obviously makes them useless for what they were advertised for. I have never had an issue with the Fender 9120 nylon wraps on any of my fretless basses, Breedlove, Precision A/E, Alembic fretless, or American fretless P bass. The DiAddario set sounds great on an old Hofner but are useless for what they were advertised for. I only went with a set of these to get a flat nylon wrap verses the semi flat Fenders I have used for years.

I put these on my bass guitar and love the sound. They give a nice, mellow, dark sound and virtually no finger noise at all. I love the smooth feel I get from them as well, no ridges or grooves, just a nice smooth surface that makes me want to keep on playing.
