EJ35 Silk & Steel Silver Wound strings have a soft feel and a light gauge that makes playing a 12-string guitar a lot easier. These unique strings couple silver-plated copper wrap wire with silk for easy fingering and a mellow tone. They are excellent for smaller body acoustic guitars and preferred by many folk players..

Love these string... Guitar formerly used brights and always had a buzzy sound in it performance. With Silk and Steel Silver wound.. the Guitar has been transformed into a very pleasant yet still full 12 string sound. No more undesirable noises.

Put a new set on my Yamaha FG820-12 after a few weeks of phosphor bronze. Sure, it lacks some of the brassiness and brightness of phosphor bronze, but the mellower sound gives my guitar more flexibility. Plus it brings out a deeper bottom end and still gives me a rich, full sound. Plus a joy to fingerpick.
