Cordoba 20TM-CE Tenor Ukulele

Description
The Cordoba 20TM-CE Tenor cutaway acoustic-electric ukulele is a premium, handmade ukulele featuring solid mahogany top, back and sides for a rich, warm tone with beautiful sustain. The cutaway body and built-in Cordoba electronics with 2-band EQ provide effortless access to higher frets and the ability to plug in for amplified performances. Whether you're strumming beachside or on stage, the 20TM-CE delivers authentic ukulele sound and playability that inspires.
Solid Mahogany Construction Produces a Warm, Balanced Tone
The 20TM-CE's all-mahogany body resonates freely, producing full, articulate tones across the tonal spectrum. Mahogany's dense grain helps project volume while controlling overtones for a focused sound. The solid mahogany top, in particular, enhances note clarity and sustain. Overall, the 20TM-CE has a warm, mellow voice that flatters vocal accompaniment or stands alone in solo performance.
Cutaway Body and Onboard Electronics Provide Total Performance Freedom
The soft cutaway gives players unfettered access to higher frets for complex solos and melodies. Combined with the built-in Cordoba 2-band EQ pickup, the cutaway design makes the 20TM-CE ideal for plugged-in gigs where volume and tonal control are essential. Sculpt your sound with the bass and treble EQ, adjust overall volume, and never worry about feedback, allowing you to focus on your performance.
Traditional Craftsmanship and Premium Appointments
True to Cordoba's dedication to tradition, the 20TM-CE is handcrafted start to finish. You'll appreciate details like the herringbone rosette, elegant neck heel and gold tuners. A satin finish enhances the natural beauty of the mahogany. Overall, the 20TM-CE exudes a subtle sophistication that complements its musical abilities.
Lightweight, Compact and Ready to Play
Despite its full-size tenor body, the 20TM-CE weighs just 1.8 lb., making it ideal for travel or hours of comfortable playing. Measuring 23" in scale length, the 20TM-CE's fingerboard is sized for most adult hands while remaining portable. Strung with Aquila Nylgut strings for a traditional feel, the 20TM-CE is ready to play right out of the included Cordoba gig bag.

Amazing quality of product, for a steal!
I had been interested in picking up the ukelele for about six months but hadn't really gotten a chance to take it seriously until recently, so that's when the research began. I saw plenty of beautiful ukes in this price range, but none that were acoustic/electric. The most important thing I learned from many review videos and ukelele websites was to go to a store and put your hands on one before you bought it. Boy was I glad I went to Guitar Center first! Some of the other models I was interested in held tuning terribly (yes I know the strings need time to stretch and all that) but after a few strum sessions with each uke, they sounded awful and needed retuning. I settled on this model after I laid my hands on it and heard its beautiful sound. I rarely have to re-tune it even after playing it all day. The mahogany has a much more unique and pleasing sound over some Koa models and the satin finish is to die for. The only thing I didn't care for was the tuning keys which look a little plastic-like up close, but a very minor drawback and can be swapped out if you really wanted. One detail not apparent until you hold one of these babies is the hand laid wood pattern around the hole and on the bridge. I first thought it was like many cheaper ukes, and that it was a sticker, or plastic inlay, but was very impressed with that little detail. I'm a guitar player and found the tenor size much more comfortable and pleasing versus a soprano. Concert sizes play well too, but there wasn't much of a selection at that store. Preamp is extremely powerful and has a very full sound when plugged in. Anyone who plays this ukelele will be more than pleased, for sure. I got this baby for a steal at a labor day sale, but would've gladly payed the list price or the online price for it.

I don't think I would ever buy another on of these!
I purchased this Ukulele for my granddaughter. She has another Ukulele but it wasn't a very good one and I thought she needed a better quality Ukulele. I wanted her to have an Acoustic-Electric instrument and it is also what she said she wanted. I looked online for a ukulele and finally decided to purchase from Guitar Center. When I went into the store to buy one I was told that the one they had not only had a defect on the neck but that the electronics also didn't work right and couldn't be fixed. They said they could order a new one and that is what I did. I received the new Ukulele in perfect time as my granddaughter was going to be visiting me the next day. She absolutely loved, loved, loved, her new acoustic-electric ukulele. I received a phone call from my daughter after they had returned home informing my the the electric input on the ukulele had come apart and again could not be fixed. Guitar Center is once again ordering my granddaughter another Ukulele. It's not that Guitar Center isn't taking care of us it is just that the product doesn't seem to be of very good quality. I am not very happy!

Bought this to learn the uke and to have some fun. The Cordoba Uke plays like a dream. The Fishman electronics are great and sound amazing through an acoustic amp. The only issue would be the strings. The c string keeps stretching and de tuning itself.
Owned for over 15 years, still an incredible product!

I'm just getting started playing uke and previously owned another brand which did not stay in tune up the neck. Drove me crazy listening to the crashing tones. This sweet little ukulele stays in tune all the way up through the cutaway which allows me to love the learning process.
I would recommend this product to friends.
