These strings were on clearance when I bought them, so I don't expect they'll have them when I want more.

  • Not Corrosion Resistant and Muddy tone.

I usually Elixir strings for all my guitars, but I just wanted to experiment with some new strings, and I heard cleartone had some good strings for low tuning. At first, there was no clarity in the strings and I got a muddy sound out of them, which I could deal with for now. But three days later they started corroding and now the strings feel uncomfortable to play. This is what happens when you experiment with different strings, I'll be going back to Elixirs. -_-

Wow I said... yes and not in a good way WOW... in a very surprised and negative way... I had been playing in drop B tuning with my 6 string schecter, I had removed my Ernie ball Beefy Slinks (11-54) to put these cleartones on. I wanted slightly thicker bass string to hold that low tuning a little better. I must say WOW THESE THINGS! I don't know why but my tone went from awesome to muddy after applying these strings. Yeah they do sound "louder" like they are supposed to, but that just means you won't be able to clean your amp up as much. Man I can't believe I spent 12 bucks plus tax on these. They just sound terrible I am astonished.

ive been playing this set of cleartones for 2 months and they are still as crisp and amazing as when i first put them on and they havent gotten rusty or dull they are still shiny like when i first put them on!!!!!!compared to elixers these dont start to peel on the bass strings they feel just like regular guitar strings and they dont get dirty either!all you need is one pack for the rest of your life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
