Having a comprehensive list of more scales than I ever knew existed, this book shatters all the others. It offers an introduction to scales and modes, polychords, patterns and more. As re-beginnger (played decades ago but knew the basic stuff), some of the information flies over my head but if you're serious about playing this book will be an open invitation to keep learning and creating.
Hey look it's ink and paper, cool.
