The Gretsch G9201 Honey Dipper Round-Neck Resonator Guitar transports players back to the earliest days of roots music in America. With a stunning all-brass body and biscuit cone resonator system, this classic Gretsch design emits a mesmerizing tone reminiscent of traveling musicians in the 1920s. is thrilled to offer this historic recreation of a pivotal point in the evolution of popular music.

Hand-Spun Biscuit Cone Resonator for Authentic Sound

At the heart of the G9201's rich, resonant tone is a Gretsch Ampli-Sonic biscuit cone resonator, hand-spun from nearly 99% pure aluminum in Eastern Europe. This time-honored design projects incredible volume and sonic clarity, recreating the signature sound of resonator guitars from their earliest days. Musicians and fans of Americana styles will appreciate the G9201's faithful recreation of a pivotal point in the development of popular music.

All-Brass Body for Classic Looks and Enhanced Sustain

The G9201's nickel-plated brass body is as stunning to look at as it is to play. Brass was a popular choice for resonator guitars of the era thanks to its acoustic properties, and the G9201's all-brass construction helps produce a rich, sustaining tone. Traditional F-holes and a vintage semi-gloss finish complete the retro-inspired look.

Comfortable Round Neck and Padauk Fingerboard

While the G9201 may look like a resonator from the 1920s, its neck and fingerboard are designed for modern playability. A comfortable round neck profile and padauk fingerboard with 19 medium-jumbo frets invite musicians to explore blues, country, and ragtime styles with ease.

A Piece of Music History from Gretsch

Gretsch has been contributing to the development of American music since 1883. While the company is best known today for iconic electrics like the White Falcon, Gretsch's Roots Collection celebrates their long history of crafting acoustic instruments. The G9201 Honey Dipper Round-Neck Resonator Guitar continues this tradition, giving musicians a chance to experience a pivotal point in Gretsch's legacy of innovation.
