The Pursuit Concertina CE is Breedlove’s smaller body acoustic-electric guitar. It produces a warm and rich sound that emanates from its solid red cedar top and mahogany back and sides. The smaller Concertina body shape was engineered for a light play style with clean and powerful project from a small body guitar that’s a joy to hold and play. With a 12-fret body design, this guitar is ideal for the player looking for a more nuanced sound with more tonal complexity, and comfortable playing experience. The cutaway body gives full access to all 18 frets. Featuring the reliable and premium-sounding L.R. Baggs EAS electronic system, it can also be plugged in for amplification. Red Cedar Top

Softer than spruce, with a warmer cast to its look and its tone, Western red cedar has less headroom for a heavy attack, but comes alive—with sweet harmonics and a wide tonal palette—for a lighter touch. Related to mahogany, it shares a focused sound, much loved by fingerstylists.

Mahogany Back & Sides

Long treasured by cabinetmakers and shipwrights for its simple, straight-grained beauty, strength and workability, mahogany—used in tops, backs, sides and necks—is also one of the true classic tonewoods. Famous for its clear, strong fundamental; even string-to-string balance; and warm midrange emphasis, the mahogany back and sides of the Breedlove Pursuit Concertina pairs well with the spruce top. The sound produced by this combination has defined much of American roots music.

The Breedlove Neck

Breedlove guitar necks feature a slimmer neck profile, which enables comfortable play, even with smaller hands. Unlike traditional dovetail neck joints that require major surgery for a neck re-set, it is easy to adjust the play action and neck angle with the Breedlove bolt-on neck and single-action truss rod. The hand-rubbed, semi-gloss Breedlove neck finish contributes to ideal playability. The finish process alone takes three days, including precise finish coat applications, fine sanding, and hand buffing and rubbing.

New Breedlove instruments, purchased through an authorized Breedlove dealer, are warranted to be free of defects in materials and workmanship throughout the lifetime of the original owner. In addition to materials and workmanship, Breedlove offers a two-year warranty on tuning machines and electronics packages (when applicable). Cases or gig bags (included or sold separately) are subject to a one-year warranty covering defects in structure and hardware.
