collapse expand iconDescription

The BOSS RC-10R Rhythm Loop Station pedal is designed to ignite the creative spirit of modern performers. This next-generation looper seamlessly combines song-based looping and organic rhythms in a compact, intuitive package. With two separate tracks for capturing independent song sections, fills, intros and endings, the RC-10R is a real-time creation machine. The RC-10R, a revolutionary tool for developing new material, enhancing live shows and energizing practice sessions.

Seamless Syncing Between Looping and Rhythms

At the heart of the RC-10R are its two stereo phrase tracks, which work in tandem with the onboard rhythm library. Capture a verse or chorus on one track, then a bridge or solo on the second track. The rhythms will follow your loop length and tempo, ensuring everything stays in perfect time. Transition between sections with two different fill variations and start or end your piece with intro/ending fills. With over 280 styles and 16 drum kits, the RC-10R provides rhythmic support for any music genre.

Flexible Use of Loops, Rhythms or Both

While the looping and rhythm engines were designed to work together, they also operate independently. Build two loops without rhythmic backing for an organic, ambient creation. Use the RC-10R as a foot-controlled drum machine by selecting rhythms and navigating sections and fills in real time. The options for spontaneity and experimentation are nearly limitless.

Premium Audio Quality and Tone Control

BOSS Loop Stations are renowned for their high-quality sound and the RC-10R continues this tradition with 32-bit AD/DA and 32-bit floating-point processing. Analog dry through allows your core tone to remain 100% analog. The RC-10R also provides discrete outputs for sending guitar and rhythm sounds to separate amps. For single-amp setups, choose from a variety of filters to optimize your guitar and rhythm tones.

Expanded Control for Advanced Operation

While the RC-10R is designed for intuitive, self-contained use, it also provides options for advanced control. Connect up to two footswitches or an expression pedal for stop, undo/redo, loop level and other functions. Full MIDI I/O opens up direct access to parameters and sync with other MIDI gear.

This is looper I needed!!!!!!

This was the looper I needed! I originally had a TC Electronic Ditto X4 looper (and am keeping because it's a great looper). Wanted a drum machine as backing rhythm for performance, writing, practice and recording. Picked up a Beat Buddy Mini. Quickly realized a major issue. The Best Buddy Mini and Ditto X4 didn't sync. Within 4 measures they were out of sync so bad they were unusable. Research shows standard Beat Buddy could MIDI sync with Ditto X4 (pretty much) but I would lose more pedalboard real estate. Through research I found the Boss RC-10R with both looper and drum rhythm. Can be used in perfect sync or individually. I've had several Boss pedals over the years and their gear always delivers. Bought the Boss RC-10R. Within 5 minutes of setting up with my rig I was having a blast! Drums sound great. Plenty of options. Sync recording loops with patterns was simple. Creating second drum and loop patterns super easy. At some point I should probably open the manual? Very happy!!! Now I can create two completely separate loops with their own rhythm and constantly be sync'd. And the Boss RC-10R is half the size of my Ditto X4. So my goal of a super portable and light pedalboard is met. And when I travel for work, the Boss RC-10R, Line 6 HX Stomp, Boss Katana Mini amp and my Traveler Ultra-Light guitar all fit in my suitcase and weighs around 12lbs. I have a great jam rig with me around the country and international.

Buy it from somewhere else.

This looper makes being home alone seem more fun than the movie. The addition of drums to a looper is great for those of us without davidos drum pad busking skills. Boss hooked it up with the ability to control loop and rhythm volumes separately as well as split the signal to a separate out for both or combined. The midi control is essential so glad they added it but the 1/8" trs is ignorant and the placement stinks too. It's a STOMP box. Why use the tiniest connectors that can break the easiest? Also pedalboard real estate is like beach front property. It's limited and you got to squeeze it all in. They put the instrument jacks out the top but dookied the bed when they put these ports in. Best option is you migrate this pedal to an edge of the board and hope your cable don't get sheered off. If not you'll have to get some 90 deg adapters to go with your special midi cables. Dont waste your time looking at a guitar center. You'll spend most your time looking at the empty racks tags to see if what you want is sold out or just poorly organized in another part of the store. Or you could ask a employee that isn't busy and is knowledgeable... let me know when you find one. You'd think they'd sell the cable that goes with all the boss pedals like this that they sell, about half a dozen of them, but then again you are thinking like a customer with convenience in mind and not an accountant with inventory issues. I dont know the percentage of people that utilize the midi feature but gc inventory says it aint enough...so chances are a used one hasnt had these ports used and stomped on. They are meant to be stepped on too so they are tough. No need to buy new. Especially because there are a lot of these online. This pedal is awesome. You should try to find one used online, while looking for cables and adapters.

Purchased a Boss RC-3 years ago and wanted to step up to a little larger looper with more options. Boss has always kinda been my "brand" for these kinds of products. Narrowed it down to either the RC-10R or the RC-500. The RC-10R appeared to have everything I needed. Watched a bunch of videos on YouTube and purchased this pedal. It's a real step up from my RC-3 both in features and audio quality. And, I like the switches better too. It came with the power supply. The sound quality is real good. There are more than enough drum options for me. Like having the drum intros and outros. You can switch between two patterns in each song and add drum fills. Accessing the menu is easy enough. There's a lot of ins and out on this unit. The connections are on the top (which doesn't always work for me). But placing this pedal in the last spot on your board seems to make sense. May not place the unit on my pedal board anyhow. Not sure if there would be a way to make the design of the unit more pedal board friendly tho.

It's simple to use. I like how it's split in two sections which is a plus when it comes to understanding it. I didn't like having to press the rhythm button twice to shut it down because if you don't hit that "just right" it'll just keep playing. Traded it for a RC-500 a wk later.

It's been awhile since I've had the creative juices flowing; this looper has definitely helped! After doing exhaustive research, watching videos and reading reviews, I decided this was the one. Why? Sound quality and reliability. Sure, at first it might not be the easiest out there the use but one you get the hang of it, it works! I like the stereo capabilities. Worked like a champ with my pedalboard and now experimenting using it with my Helix.was able to capture my idea for a song and take with me to a friends place for a jam. Love the storage amount too! Is it perfect, no but it will get the job done. Wish it were easier to create a "drone" type background for progressive rock type music.

Allows you to loop of course and it allows you to store loops on there and it will even save the beat you selected. If you wanna experiment with it you can use the software to upload your own beats. Being able to Overdub is also sick. Overall a great looper pedal.
