The Apple M1 chip integrates the CPU, GPU, Neural Engine, I/O and so much more onto a single tiny chip. The 8-core CPU delivers up to 3.5x faster performance than the previous generation while using way less power. The 7-core GPU is up to 6x faster, enabling graphics-intensive tasks and the 16-core Neural Engine is capable of 11 trillion operations per second, speeding up machine learning (ML) tasks. The display is also more power efficient, which helps extend the battery life.
