collapse expand iconDescription

The Ampeg Rocket Bass RB-108 is a lightweight yet full-featured bass combo amp perfect for practice and performance. This 30W, 1x8" combo amp provides the renowned tone that Ampeg is known for in a portable package. The Ampeg RB-108 bass amp features the classic 3-band EQ that bassists rely on to sculpt the perfect sound, along with a newly designed switchable overdrive circuit that adds warm, gritty growl. An auxiliary input lets you play along to your favorite tracks, while a headphone output ensures you can practice day or night without disturbing others.

Legendary Ampeg Tone in a Portable Powerhouse

Despite its compact size, the Ampeg RB-108 bass combo amp delivers the punchy, growling tone that Ampeg amps are known for. The 30W power amp and specially voiced 8" speaker provide a full, rich sound with clarity and depth. With simple bass, midrange and treble controls you can easily tweak your tone to perfection. When you want to add some overdrive, the Super Grit Technology switch dials in smooth distortion that keeps your low end solid while saturating your mids and highs.

Practice-friendly Features for Maximum Versatility

The Ampeg RB-108 bass amp provides several features that make it easy to practice for hours. An 1/8" AUX input lets you connect your phone or another audio source to play along with your favorite songs. For silent practice, use the 1/8" headphone output to plug in your headphones—your housemates will never know you're playing at 3 a.m.. Two instrument inputs—one at 0dB and one at –15dB—ensure the RB-108 will work with any bass, whether you prefer active or passive pickups.

Classic Style With Modern Reliability

The Ampeg RB-108 bass combo amp combines '60s-inspired looks with rugged, roadworthy construction. The black diamond Tolex covering and sparkle grille cloth give the amp a stylish, retro vibe, while the sturdy cabinet and durable components are built to handle the rigors of frequent gigging and transport. Although it evokes a classic era, the Ampeg Rocket Bass RB-108 is a thoroughly modern amp that provides exceptional performance and value for today's working bassists.

On May 1st, 2009, the Mackie, TAPCO, Crate, Blackheart and Ampeg websites will be updated with the addition of warranty URLs (e.g. www.mackie.com/warranty) expressing new A Stock warranty terms. These warranty URLs will go live on May 1st, 2009. Formerly, warranty periods for these LOUD brands appeared in a variety of locations – in product manuals (for Mackie and TAPCO) and on warranty cards and hang tags (for Crate, Blackheart and Ampeg). In order to streamline and clarify this process, Mackie, TAPCO, Crate, Blackheart and Ampeg warranty periods and terms will be communicated in full on the warranty pages. Any LOUD products purchased prior to May 1st will bear with them the manufacturer’s warranty as predates the new policy. Moving through this transition, in order for customers to obtain warranty service, both the sales receipt and a physical copy of the (older) warranty statement will be required by our Service and Support departments in order to issue Service Requests, etc. If the product was purchased on or after May 1st, 2009, but a physical copy of the older warranty terms is not presented, the new warranty terms and periods will apply. Meanwhile, the products that bear with them the new warranty periods (as reflected in the box contents of each product) are being tracked by serial #, and contain new warranty content referring customers to the appropriate brand website. The information below reflects the product warranty periods that will be effective on May 1st, 2009 for the Mackie, TAPCO, Crate, Blackheart and Ampeg brands: Mackie: A 3-year, nontransferable, inclusive warranty on electronics and a 2-year, nontransferable, inclusive warranty on drivers (where applicable) apply to loudspeakers (active and passive), power amps, powered mixers, and HR studio monitors. Amazing product. Deep, warm bass that you can feel along with clarity. Great for home practice. If you need a studio amp get the next step up for added features, but this is a great compact practice amp that sounds amazing. The headphone feature reproduces sound perfectly.

It's an amazing combo amp. I was skeptical about it because of the price but as always, Ampeg makes the superior product. If you're looking for a combo amp, this is the one to go with. I will be doing small performances and light recording with it. Best combo amp I've bought in all my 15 years of playing.
