these adapters will do what your looking to connect yes of course, their a bit too wiggly when connected into the mixing board though . not sure if the same adapters that cost way outrageous more would fit any tighter or not

  • NOT what the picture shows

What you see in the picture is NOT what you get. What you get is a cheap knock-off. I ordered six. All six came in a gray bag through the mail. No padding, no individual packages, nothing. Two of them were separated and held together only by the wiring when they arrived. Spend the extra money and get better adapters. This is the first time Guitar Center let me down.

  • DO NOT USE if you need a sturdy adapter.

These adapters are not sturdy. By that, I mean you can take both ends and try to shake it to feel that the two parts are not strongly held together. This shakiness is okay only if it didn't affect the sound. And what do you know? It DOES. It induces severe scratch and popping sounds to the signal. Apparently that wobbly build also affects the connection. I had 7 of these adapters during the last Sunday's mass, and it was a nightmare. It sent far too many pops and scratches to our high-powered speaker that we had to shut it down and do any with any instruments for the rest of the mass. If you need to move the cable around while plugged in--and there are infinite reasons for this--DON'T USE THIS. Get a proper cable instead.

I use these adapters to connect the 1/4" outputs of my mixer to the XLR inputs of a powered monitor. The sound is very clear with absolutely no external hum/hiss induced!
