The Zildjian A Series Ping Ride Cymbal is part of the world's most popular and versatile cymbal series. Created from cast bronze alloy of 80% copper, 20% tin, and traces of silver, the A Series Ping Ride Cymbal is symmetrically machine hammered and lathed with a traditional wide groove. Avedis Zildjian Company Warranty Statement
As of October 1, 2009, all Zildjian Cymbals are guaranteed against manufacturer's defects for two (2) years from the date of original purchase.

Warranty Process
Cymbals that show factory defects within two years of their original purchase are eligible for examination at our factory. Zildjian experts will evaluate the damage and issue a replacement cymbal, unless it appears the damage is related to improper use or care.
If you believe your cymbal has a factory defect:
1. Contact Zildjian to obtain a Return Authorization number (RA#), via telephone: 781-871-2200.
2. Indicate the location of the damage on the cymbal with a piece of tape.
3. Make a photocopy of your original numbered and dated sales receipt.
4. Carefully package your cymbal. Include your RA# and the photocopy of your sales receipt in the box.
5. Ship the package to:

A Cymbal will not be replaced if:
1. It has been misplayed, dropped, played with excessive force or treated abusively.
2. The center hole is worn due to improper stand set-up or abusive play.
3. The cymbal was bought second-hand or used in a lease program.
4. The cymbal has previously been replaced by Zildjian.
5. More than two years have passed since the cymbal was purchased.
Warranty Notes:
• Cost of shipping a damaged cymbal to Zildjian is the customers responsibility.
• Factory evaluations take approximately 4 - 6 weeks.
• Cymbals that do not meet the warranty guidelines will be returned to customer.
• Cost of shipping a replacement or damaged cymbal back to the customer will be covered by Zildjian.

I have had the 20" A Series Ping Ride for almost three years. I have had no problems with it so far, and believe that it will be a while before it cracks. This ride cymbal's weight is classified as MH (medium heavy), making it ideal for only a couple styles of music (rock and metal). The cymbal has a bright, loud sound with a lot of overtones, giving it that distinct "ping." In other words, if you're looking for a jazz ride cymbal with few overtones and dry stick definition, this cymbal is not for you. The only reason I gave features a ?4.5? was because it does not have quite a diverse enough sound to suit my many styles.
If you like a clean, resposive ride this is it. Whether your riding the ping or the bell, it will cut through the music and give a very defined sound. I play this cymbal as hard as I play my Custom Z rock cymbals and it can take the pounding. Highly recommend for the heavy hitters.
Quality is superb. I've had this 22" Ping for about 6 or 7 years now. It's been through a couple hundred gigs and countless woodshedding hours and has held up flawlessly. It's perfect for rock. It's a heavy ride, but not as heavy as a Rock Ride or Earth Ride; I couldn't imagine someone wanting a ride heavier than this one. I've had problems with my right hand going slightly numb during long gigs from vibration transfer through the stick from this ride. I'm hoping that buying a lighter ride cymbal will help to alleviate this issue. It has a very distinct "ping", and can cut through those half-stacks with ease. The bell also will penetrate the mix with a crystal clear ping. Slap the bell with the shank and look out-it's loud! Great stick definition-very little wash.It has a very low pitch wash, not good for crashing on. I would not recommend it for jazz, but for rock and heavier music it's perfect.
