Product Information

Bring back that classic British tone in an affordable combo amp.

The 4W Vox AC4TV8 Guitar Combo Amp is a modern take on a bona fide classic amplifier. The all-tube Vox AC4TV8 practice amp delivers tone In the style of the Vox AC4 amplifier introduced in 1961. You'll notice that Vox even made use of the "TV" style cabinetry design first used on the 1958 Vox AC15 amp.

The Vox AC4TV8 amp retains the distinctive EL84 power tube of the original AC4. A 12AX7-powered preamp makes the AC4TV8 amp's sound unmistakably Vox, delivering that distinctively British top-end tone.

One of the challenges confronting an all-tube guitar amplifier is retaining a full tone at lower volumes. To solve this, the Vox AC4TV amp has a built-in power attenuator, with 4W, 1W and 1/10W output levels—ensuring you never lose that classic tube tone, even at the lowest listening levels. The Vox AC4TV8 combo amp also adds a 16-Ohm speaker output for you to add an additional speaker cabinet and amplify your sonic signature with authority.

It's retro, it's chic, it's all-tube and it's all Vox.

Vox AC4TV8 4W 1x8 Guitar Combo Amp Features:

  • Affordable all-valve design
  • Switchable output levels 4W, 1W, 1/10W output levels
  • Quality vintage Vox styling
  • External speaker output

affordable

this is an excellent practice amp if u want to be able to hear when ur 60. i just got one today because my hot rod deluxe is going to a repair shop and will be gone for a while and is way too loud anyway so i ceased the opportunity to buy me a nice practice amp. the tone is good. ill admit the 10 inch speaker sounds a little better and significantly louder but if your going to college this amp is quiet enough to play without annoying anyone but the 10 inch combo even on 1/4 watt would be really annoying to hear if u want to study. the tone knob doesn't do a whole lot if u asked me i like my volume about around 10 or eleven ocklock for optimum tone and if i need more compression or gain in a solo i jsut put my keeley ts9 in front of that and it works like magic. once u put the volume past halfway the tone gets a little yucky because im using a gibson les paul with pretty high output pickups 490/498 on a strat u could turn the volume much higher though. the clean tone is really good the transition into distortion/ light overdrive is superb and the hardish rock tone is good
