Overview

If you want a grab and go power solution for your pedalboard, or a compact, reliable backup for your tour rig, the 1 SPOT Combo Pack is for you.

I bought the 1 Spot Combo Pack after the salesman pointed out it was only $5 more than buying the lone 1 Spot Adaptor and the five-plug daisy chain. This comes with an eight-plug daisy chain as well as 5 power adaptors for various pedals. With this setup, I have completely eliminated the stress of having to make sure I bought enough (expensive) 9-volt batteries and/or remembered to unplug the input to EVERY single pedal. The 10ft power cord is well more than long enough to reach my pedalboard. The standard plugs work great for my Crybaby, Boss pedals, and Line 6 Echo Park. I don't have any crazy pedals with odd plugs or anything like that, but if I ever aquire any, I can always use the 9-volt battery plug adaptors that came with the Combo Pack. Now my pedals are all plugged in, all completely powered, and I never have to worry about it ever again. The worst thing I'd have to worry about is buying another daisy chain if for some reason I end up having more than 8 pedals. I've heard a couple people complain about picking up some hum when using the 1 Spot adaptor. I have not experienced this at all, and I would challenge those people to check how they have things set up. If you're a rock star and money isn't an issue for you, I'm sure you could drop $300-400 on a bomb proof electrical system, or just have your guitar tech put brand new batteries in ALL of your pedals before EVERY show..... but for the rest of us who live in the REAL WORLD, this product is fantastic and works precisely as advertised. Just buy it. The only potential negative is that if you only have a few pedals there can be a lot of excess cabling, and if you don't have a pedalboard to strap it down to... it could look a little ugly. For these people I would probably recommend getting the five-plug daisy chain. Or you can get creative like I did, I just stuffed all the extra cable into the (now empty) battery compartment of my Crybaby.

Low cost, but low tech too.

OK, but noisy. I returned mine.
They would be OK for very basic power supply, but be warned that with some effects this rig will introduce noisy hum.

Does the job.

By Nathan

from Beaumont Texas

Comments about Truetone 1 SPOT Combo Pack:

I just bought a new 1-spot, my old one finally started giving me troble and Ive been using it for over a year... with that said Ive often closed up part of the wire in my pedal board so the fact that it lasted an entire year is amazing. Plus its way cheaper than the alternative so you really cant go wrong here. The new one has even more "outlets" lettin you power up to 8 pedals at once. My only advice...if your not using some of the outlets be sure to wrap the metal end in electrical tape or it will touch the metal from the other pedals or your pedal board and that aint good!

Awesome thing to have

By Joey

from Danderdwarf

Comments about Truetone 1 SPOT Combo Pack:

This thing is the answer to all that is the annoyance called batteries. Plugs up 8 pedals into one outlet. I think the only true problem that I have encountered is that some of my pedals are too wide which means I have to skip a plug in order for the pedals to connect and then I can't connect another pedal with them being all twisted up, but other than that it's great. I reccomend this to anyone who plays with numerous amounts of pedals, but i'm sure they own this by now if they have numerous amounts.

Hello Need Info

By Yavin

Comments about Truetone 1 SPOT Combo Pack:

Hello Guys, i want to know a few things before proceeding with a buying option. This is because i'm not near the States :D i'd rather say i'm reaaally far from you guys and yours stores, so : 1. What is the voltage of this device? Cause i live in an island called Mauritius in the Indian Ocean (somewhat near the US military base of Diego Garcia)and our electricity power supply is of 220-240V. 2. I have to ask if your do ship to Mauritius Island in the Indian Ocean cause i would love to buy one of these compo packs. I got a series of Boss stomp boxes (DD7, BD2, DS1, XT-2, Flanger)and 1 Dunlop Cry baby Wah and am planning on buying some more. Thanks for helping me.

Awesome for the wallet ...But you get what you pay for....

By Brandon

from Uniontown PA

Comments about Truetone 1 SPOT Combo Pack:

I've been using this power supply for a year now. I was tight on money at the time and I needed a power supply. This was great for the price and what it does. It powers all my pedals because they're all 9v. The only thing that annoys me is I don't have 8 pedals but the spare plugs are hot and any time they touch metal or anything conductive, all my pedals go crazy. Yeah, This is an easy fix with some electric tape but with the active spares you get a lot of extra, unwanted noise. Like I said before I've been using this for a year now, so it definately does its job but just like with everything else in life, you get what you pay for.

Good product but a little noisy

By Nathan Creel

from Waynesville, NC

Comments about Truetone 1 SPOT Combo Pack:

I bought this product to power 2 boss compact pedals and a Morley wah pedal. It powers everything but the more pedals that are plugged in, the more hum I heard. I already had a power pack for my Morley so now it's only powering 2 boss pedals but it's still a little noisy. I have an ebtech hum eliminator and it takes the hum out but it's one more thing to have in your chain. I would recommend this product because it does what it's supposed to do but be prepared to do something about the hum.

GREAT POWER SUPPLY

By Ben

from PA

Comments about Truetone 1 SPOT Combo Pack:

I picked up this combo pack and I must say it is great! I can power up to 8 pedals at the same time because of the handy 8-plug daisy chain. Even if you don't have/use 8 pedals, the pack comes with these little rubber caps where you can cover the plug. Very small which is good when you have a power strip full of plugs. Very little noise is generated and if you have Boss Pedals, don't worry. Battery clips are handy and they work if you really want to do that, but you might as well just use the daisy chain. I would really take a look at the instructions though because there are things that are important. This is a less expensive power supply than most power supplies, and it works great. BUY IT!

Freakin Amazing

By Ben

from Elk Grove Village, Illinois

Comments about Truetone 1 SPOT Combo Pack:

I bought this a couple years ago on a whim, and it hasn't let me down. The whole thing is solid, And I can just roll it up, toss it in my gig bag, and be on my way with out any worry. I've have heard some people complaining about hum, but I so far haven't had any. I use it to power a Ibanez Weeping Demon, a Zoom 510 Dual Power Driver, a Digitech RP50, a Boss DS-1, and a Fender battery powered Mini Tonemaster amp, and it works great for all of them. I've done multiple gigs with this, and countless practices and jam sessions, and it's still as solid as day one. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to power multiple pedals, and don't have the money to shell put for multiple adapters, batteries, or those expensive Dunlop and Voodoo Labs multiple power sources. This gets the job done cheap.

Nice Power Supply

By Ryan Hill

from Orange County, CA

Comments about Truetone 1 SPOT Combo Pack:

Mine came with little rubber caps for the unused plugs. I taped them on for added security. I'm using 4 pedals and I don't notice any new hum that wasn't already there with batteries.

Exceeded Expectations

By MICHAEL GREEN

from Nashville, Tennessee

Comments about Truetone 1 SPOT Combo Pack:

This is one item that has payed for itself a couple times over over on batteries alone. Several of my pedals burn them like nothing I've ever seen; batteries fail on a gig, none stashed then..., not the end of the world but not good either. It being a money saver was a strong point to purchase as well as saving money on buying five different adapters. As a piece of equipment I can give nothing but praises. It has not let me down at all. Easy to set up and pack up. Durable.., man; I could go on and on. Does not disappoint, best tool in my toolbox.
