Comments about Markbass Little Mark III Limited Edition 500W Solid State Bass Head:

This is my second MarkBass amp purchase, and I am fast becoming a true believer. I only recently bought this amp. and so far, it is great. I am using it with a Hartke Hydrive 112 and/or an Eden EX112-8. Weighting in at 6 pounds, four-band EQ, and the VPF and VLE controls, 500 watts into 4 ohms, this amp is dynamite in a small package. things I really like are: - input clip indicator light for setting input level - four band EQ that really works - the VLF is a useful tool for overall tone - master volume (always handy) - built-in DI with volume & pre/post switching - Speakon and 1/4" speaker output jacks - light weight The VPF is a "scoop" EQ control, which is of little use to me. There is also an effects loop I won't be using. There is also a tuner out jack if you need one. As for what it sounds like. Mark Bass amps have their signature sound like most amps do, and I like it. In a live band setting using the Hartke cab and my Ernie Ball Music Man Sterling 5, the tone was fantastic. The 4 band EQ along with the VPF & VLE controls enabled me to experiment with my sound, trying various setting. checking with my band mates confirmed my opinion, the amp sounded nice and fat, and best of all, you could hear my bass cutting through the fairly loud band situation. Made in Italy and construction appears to be top shelf. Very solid. Amp has a very professional feel and presence about it. White front adds class. Looks great setting on top of the Hartke Hydrive. I recommend this amp. I got the Signature edition (white) on sale and used a coupon as well, making it a great deal.
