This capo is great for when your bringing your guitar on a road trip or for when your sitting at home playing. It is so light and so easy to store in a pocket or gig bag and take with you. The clamp is really strong and mine has held up for a few years without geting worn down or loose. Works great on both my acoustic guitars and my electric guitar. The rubber stops protect from scratching on the fretboard or neck.

I just got my Keyser and I had a cheaper quick change before that but my dogs chewed it up. I got this one but when I clamp it down I have to re-tune with it on because it changes every strings tuning and they're not tuned together anymore. it's a pain. I don't recommend this capo.

Capo

By Hayden Cran

from Virginia

This is a very versatile capo for someone who travels and plays different styles of music. Rounded edges allow smooth extraction from cases, pockets, etc. The no-slip backing does hold firm but be careful because it can slide off, much like a mechanical pencil grip. I like this capo because it lives up to its "quick-change" name in performances. The problem I have had is that the spring wears out to the point of string buzzing or muting after about 3-6 months, depending on how much it is being used and on what fret. This isn't one of those "last capo you'll ever buy" deals, but I would still recommend it to the everyday musician.

Why would ANYONE spend $50 or more on a capo?

By Joe Krol

from Mountainhome PA

In over 33 years of playing guitar, I have used capos that cost about $5.00 and some that friends have bought that were around $50.00 and up. I'll stick to my Kyser thank you. Before switching my favorite capo was a Dunlop strap and lock type. Worked great except they were a pain to move. When the Kyser came out I bought one have been using it ever since. Fantastic, no buzz, no problem moving it up and down the neck. It's light doesn't get in the way and when I'm not using it I have it parked on the headstock. I have one for every guitar I own acoustic and electric, in fact when I buy a new guitar I automatically buy one for it. I have not seen any advantage to the $50+ adjustable or what I call "designer" capos, it's all hype if you ask me. For those concerned about damaging guitars I have used it on my Limited edition Martin guitar for over 10 years with no negative effects. Remember, Just because something is more expensive it does not make it better. If you are into bragging rights and label recognition or HAVE to own what XYZ musician uses (he/she probably got theirs for free), then spend the extra money. My experience has been that these overpriced capos are just that overpriced. They perform the exact same function with out any real measurable difference over the Kyser. Buy the Kyser, with the money you save get a tuner, strings, picks even an in expensive strap or stand.

Works perfectly.

By Todd Morgan

from Salt Lake City, Utah

I just got this capo earlier today. So far it works perfectly fine. It sits on the strings evenly and hasn't shown any signs of damage at all to the guitar. The only downside so far is that it has an awkward squeeze handle that makes it uncomfortable to change.

great quickie

By brian curtiss

Great for quick on quick off changes during performances. other models I had just took too long. This was both cost effective and easy to use. I have a rather thick neck on mine guitar and this accommodates it just fine.

Awesome Capo

By Brady Hammon

from Nampa, Idaho

I just love the Kaiser Capo's I just bought my third one so I could have one for each room so I don't have to keep wondering where my capo is. It's easy to use, I can play a few songs with it on and then put it in my shirt pocket until I am ready to use it again. It's fast and easy to change. My only complaint is that the price changes if you want a different color. Give me a break, but the new silver one I decided to spend a few more dollars on does look really cool I would like to get the gold one next and then I should be set on capos for awhile. I have been playing guitar for 26 years and I have tried a few other capos but for me I don't bother wasting my money on anything except these Kaisers. They are dependable, durable, do the job they are supposed to and very easy to work and they are fast I can change to and from a capo very easily and I am off to playing without a lot of fuss. Great product even if they do charge more for a different color.

Long lasting

By Amy Cook

from Woolrich, Pennsylvania

I have had this capo for about two years and it still works as well as the first day I bought it. It is easy to use, clamps on your headstock when not in use so it is easy to keep track of. I just purchased another because I love it so much.

Best Capo EVER ***

By J. Meli

from Washington Twp, Mi

I'm finally purchasing a new Kyser Capo as the one I own just broke. I've owned and used it extensively on a 12 string, 6 string acoustic and on a few electrics. It's lasted 33 years before failing. I doubt you can find many products that would give that kind of service and value. I would never buy any other brand or style. Mine is black and has never chipped or faded. It's ease of use makes it quick and flawless...
