This capo is great for when your bringing your guitar on a road trip or for when your sitting at home playing. It is so light and so easy to store in a pocket or gig bag and take with you. The clamp is really strong and mine has held up for a few years without geting worn down or loose. Works great on both my acoustic guitars and my electric guitar. The rubber stops protect from scratching on the fretboard or neck.

I just got my Keyser and I had a cheaper quick change before that but my dogs chewed it up. I got this one but when I clamp it down I have to re-tune with it on because it changes every strings tuning and they're not tuned together anymore. it's a pain. I don't recommend this capo.

Its a capo

By GibsonGuitarist

Comments about Kyser Quick-Change Capo 6-String:

These are capos, and they certainly do what they are meant to do. The many colors allow for matching with almost any guitar, and the easy 1-hand moving lets you switch easily between songs. it also allows you to leave it on the head of the guitar, so you wont lose it.

Well, Well, Well...

By Muerte Guitarist 1

from Camas, WA

Comments about Kyser Quick-Change Capo 6-String:

So this capo is very easily used. It is easy to open, yet it will not budge once it's positioned. This capo works great on my acoustic guitar AND on my electric, so you know it works great on all neck types and sizes. Also, the tone given off by the barred strings sounds as if you were doing just a regular barre chord. There isn't any of that buzzing or thudding with this capo, unlike other capos I have used or heard. In short, this capo is perfect for any guitar style, and it gives off the most amazing tone. Not to mention it looks cool and it comes in any color you would need. Buy this over the other capos that are out today if you want a great capo for a great price!

GREAT CAPO (...but don't pick red)

By David

from Bethesda, Maryland

Comments about Kyser Quick-Change Capo 6-String:

This is a really good capo and I highly recommend it. I even like it better than my old Shubb capo. The only thing I will say is stay away from the red one. It does not look anything like the picture. It has a metallic, purple-ish tint to it and the paint on mine was faded in some areas. Anyway, a really sturdy capo. A must-have.

Great Capo

By Geobob

Comments about Kyser Quick-Change Capo 6-String:

I use Kyser Quick change capos on all my guitars I have a Martin D-35, J-18, Martin 12-28. I have been using Kyser Capos for 15 years and have had no trouble with them, other than the spring weakening over time.

Rock solid capo

By stratoibanez

from las cruces, nm

Comments about Kyser Quick-Change Capo 6-String:

This Keyser capo is the longest lasting capo I have ever owned. In addition to that, it really presses down on the strings really well so your guitar won't have a lot of fret buzz. And trust me, most of the other capos causes fret buzz that is annoying especially on acoustic guitars. This is an excellent capo!

Kyser Capo

By sohaibh

from Warwick, RI

Comments about Kyser Quick-Change Capo 6-String:

Kyser makes the best capos. I used to have a fender capo which worked only ok. I decided to buy a kyser capo and it works really good. It doesnt grip the fretboard too hard which changes the tension on the strings. I have been gigging with it for a couple of years and have not had any problem with it. I would recommend it to anyone.

Great capo - but have a backup

By Craig

from Illinois

Comments about Kyser Quick-Change Capo 6-String:

I really love this capo, I've used it for a while and it really works well during performances. However, after about 2 years of use, I went to put it on during a performance and the spring snapped, rendering the capo useless! I was a little panicked. Luckily, the other guitarist had one and wasn't using it that song so I was able to grab his. So my warning is to buy two if you're playing live and have one as a backup - think of this like strings, always have a spare!

Why would ANYONE spend $50 or more on a capo?

By Joe Krol

from Mountainhome PA

Comments about Kyser Quick-Change Capo 6-String:

In over 33 years of playing guitar, I have used capos that cost about $5.00 and some that friends have bought that were around $50.00 and up. I'll stick to my Kyser thank you. Before switching my favorite capo was a Dunlop strap and lock type. Worked great except they were a pain to move. When the Kyser came out I bought one have been using it ever since. Fantastic, no buzz, no problem moving it up and down the neck. It's light doesn't get in the way and when I'm not using it I have it parked on the headstock. I have one for every guitar I own acoustic and electric, in fact when I buy a new guitar I automatically buy one for it. I have not seen any advantage to the $50+ adjustable or what I call "designer" capos, it's all hype if you ask me. For those concerned about damaging guitars I have used it on my Limited edition Martin guitar for over 10 years with no negative effects. Remember, Just because something is more expensive it does not make it better. If you are into bragging rights and label recognition or HAVE to own what XYZ musician uses (he/she probably got theirs for free), then spend the extra money. My experience has been that these overpriced capos are just that overpriced. They perform the exact same function with out any real measurable difference over the Kyser. Buy the Kyser, with the money you save get a tuner, strings, picks even an in expensive strap or stand.

Nothing new, but easy to find

By Bob

from Danielson, CT

Comments about Kyser Quick-Change Capo 6-String:

Ok... this may sound strange, but the reason I love this capo is because of how easy it is to find. Friends of mine use the Shubb C Series, which I also have and think works great. The trouble wit it is, it's small and blends in so easily that I seem to always misplace it. I bought the red Kyser quick-change capo and can spot it in a second no matter where I left it. The color and shape just stand out. So far it has held up really well for about six months of use. The pads aren't worn at all. It's really easy to use, even with one hand.

CHEAP! EASY! FUN!

By Daversatek

from Baraboo, WI

Comments about Kyser Quick-Change Capo 6-String:

No, I'm not talking about my last date; I'm talking about the Kyser Capo, of course! Look, you have to use a capo from time to time, it might as well be the best. It installs and removes instantly, holds tightly and doesn't hurt the finish on the neck. What more can you ask for? Incidently, I have used the same one between ALL of my guitars, electric and acoustic, six and twelve strings, and have had excellent results.

BEST CAPO OUT THERE!!!

By wolfman1012

from Newark, OH

Comments about Kyser Quick-Change Capo 6-String:

This is the capo! Good function... good looks... works great... and stores right on the headpiece! One-hand ajustments... not just what they say.. it actually works this way. Lays flat on the fingerboard for easy changes in pitch. What more can one ask? And did I mention it's only $12.95! Need a capo? Look no further... you've found the Kyser Quick-Change Capo in many different colors!

Great choice

By Phillie Phan

from Newtown Square, PA

Comments about Kyser Quick-Change Capo 6-String:

I ordered this particular Capo because of the reviews I read. My daughter uses it and has been very happy with it. I would highly recommend it. Her favorite color is blue and it is nice that there are so many colors. There is no buzzing sound with it and her music teachers thinks it is great too. I can see why it is a top seller!

Easy and reliable

By Tweedledee

from Chicago, IL

Comments about Kyser Quick-Change Capo 6-String:

I own three Kyser Quick-Change Capos. They're easy to put on and change postion with one hand, they stay in place, they provide just enough pressure without being so tight that they throw off your tuning, and you can just clip them to the headstock when you're not using them. It's a great, simple design that simply works.

The best capo out there!

By Bluesbird54

from Guilford, CT

Comments about Kyser Quick-Change Capo 6-String:

The Kyser capo is a great thing. It is easy to put on the guitar and stays in place well. The variety of colors is also nice. I have had mine for a little over a year. It is also nice that you can clamp it to the guitars headstock while not using it. In the past I would have to dig around it my pocket for my capo but no more! There is nothing negative that I can say about this capo. This is the best capo that money can buy and for $13 this is also one of the cheapest.

A great capo

By dai

Comments about Kyser Quick-Change Capo 6-String:

I have had four of these, and they're wonderful capos. One did break on me in the middle of a show, but i had a backup and they replaced it for free! These are great capos, easy to change, the right amount of pressure, and they look great. A wonderful investment for any guitar player - buy a few!

Pretty Good Capo

By BoyBuilder

from Dallas, TX

Comments about Kyser Quick-Change Capo 6-String:

I've had this capo for about a year now. It's still as good as the day about I bought it. It's very durable, but the spring is a little tough and can be hard to change. Other than that it's a very good capo and I recommend it to everybody.
