What you?re looking for in an acoustic guitar is great sound quality, great features, and most of all, the price! I expected to find something very expensive online here but I was wrong. Not only does the Yamaha GigMaker Guitar Pack have it all, but it arrived extremely quickly. This package comes with a brand new beautiful and cheap guitar, a soft casing, an adjustable strap, a very helpful video to guide you along the way, three colourful picks (I have been using the same one for 1 year and it still hasn?t broken), a digital metronome, and two CD?s that have brilliant players on it. When I was playing the guitar, I know this sounds hard to imagine, but I had thought I spent a thousand dollars on it! The sound quality is fantastic! The quality is so vibrant, and soft, something that wouldn't break your ear drums. The fact that you get a couple of freebies makes it even better! So please don?t go spending you money on something that isn?t worth the price, buy this package instead- I promise you, you won?t regret it!

The best beginner acoustic

By volt9stormrider

from South Windsor, CT

Comments about Yamaha GigMaker Acoustic Guitar Pack:

The Yamaha Gigmaker Guitar Pack was my introduction to guitar. I got this kit three years ago and it is still holding up despite my vigorous playing. This acoustic can stand up to damage and is absolutely the best value. The accessories are not very good quality but again, this is a beginner pack. The tuner is not a chromatic tuner and the strap and picks are of poor quality. After a year I needed to buy a tuner, a strap, and some picks, but it didn't bother me that much. I would take this guitar over any other beginner acoustic such as a Fender or an Ibanez. Also, the price cannot be beaten and this guitar is worth the money.

I was very pleased with the quality and the price of this guitar. This is a fantastic guitar package for the amount of extras that are included. I have never played the guitar; so this was the perfect option for quality, price, and features.

Very Pleased

By Becky Wilson

from Burnet, Texas

Comments about Yamaha GigMaker Acoustic Guitar Pack:

I bought this Guitar Pack for my son on his 17th birthday. Neither my husband or I play, so I was very nervous trying to buy a guitar, having no knowledge of what to expect. I did as much online research as I could, and knew I wanted to buy a dependable brand. I am very pleased with the quality of the guitar! It is beautiful, has great sound, and the instructional materials and tuner are proving invaluable! The very first evening using the tuner and the DVD, my son was able to tune the guitar and learn 4 chords! This guitar is not a flimsy cheap thing, as many beginner guitars are, but rather a quality instrument he will be able to enjoy for years.

I'm happy

By Dr O

from Mission VIejo, CA

Comments about Yamaha GigMaker Acoustic Guitar Pack:

It seems to me like a great bargain for a beginner guitar. I wanted to learn to play the guitar without paying a fortune. This one includes a nice acoustic guitar that is pre-strung, an electronic tuner that is easy to use, picks, spare strings, a soft case, a strap, and an introductory DVD. The case and strap are made from plastic. The case could use a pocket for the tuner, spare strings, etc. Without instructions, putting on the strap is surprisingly difficult for a beginner. All in all, I am very satisfied with this Yamaha guitar that gives me everything I need to start lessons at a price that was much lower than I could find elsewhere.

Yamaha Gigmaker Acoustic Guitar Pack

By Guitarist2009

from New York, NY

Comments about Yamaha GigMaker Acoustic Guitar Pack:

I bought this one month ago, to teach myself how to play guitar. I'm pleased with it overall-it is easy to tune, has a bright tone and excellent sustain, and the sound projects very well. The only additional accessory I needed was a capo, though I also bought tortoiseshell picks because they produce a warmer and richer sound than plastic ones. My only complaints are the occasional fret buzz, particularly on the lower frets, and the fact that the high-gloss finish appears to wear off the edges of the guitar quickly. I am going to try replacing the brass strings that came with the guitar with D'Addario Bronze strings, to see if this helps reduce the fret buzz. I will eventually upgrade to a solid-top acoustic-electric (Yamaha or Ibanez), but for now, I'd say this guitar is an excellent choice.

An Excellent Beginner Guitar!

By David

from Camas, WA

Comments about Yamaha GigMaker Acoustic Guitar Pack:

This guitar, though a Yamaha, and not one of the most notable brands out there, lives up to its expectations. It definitely lasts. I've been playing it for 4 years now and the only wear-and-tear is a loss of finish on the guitar and having the fret board begin to wear out. True, it may be time to upgrade but I will still hold on to this one. It is without a doubt one of the most durable guitars out there with this kind of price tag. And if your still looking to get started with guitar, look no further than this.

This is a good starter pack

By Danny

from South Pittsburg, TN

Comments about Yamaha GigMaker Acoustic Guitar Pack:

The Yamaha F325 is a very good quality instrument the sound is excellent and it holds tune well. The finish has a few flaws but isn't very noticable. The gig bag is little more than a canvas cover. The tuner is of fair quality. The DVD that comes with the pack is informative and easy to follow. Overall the Yamaha gig maker starter pack is a fine starter pack for the beginner and for the price I have no complaints

Great Value

By GuitarMan500

from Undisclosed

Comments about Yamaha GigMaker Acoustic Guitar Pack:

I have owned this guitar for about a year now, and i have never had a problem with it. It has a clear, sharp sound and it looks great. The tuner and strap work fine. The gig bag is too thin to actually protect the guitar from anything but dust, but that's alright. A great over all value and a quality guitar for the price.

Great Beginner Guitar

By Timmy

from Lawrenceville, Georgia

Comments about Yamaha GigMaker Acoustic Guitar Pack:

I recently bought this guitar for a bang up practicing guitar. It doesn't matter if you are and experienced player or not this guitar sounds wonderful. The action is not too high and not too low. The only bad thing is that it isn't a solid top. If you want a solid top I recommend the Gigmaker Deluxe. The sound quality of this guitar is very nice. I also own a Martin DX1 and an Epiphone Dove and when you compare them together you can barely tell teh difference. Even when the other guitars are hundreds more this one meets their standards.

Great Beater Axe

By NeilYoungisGod

from Maplewood, NJ

Comments about Yamaha GigMaker Acoustic Guitar Pack:

I bought this guitar as a beater second guitar -- the folks at GC were surprised that I was actually looking for a laminate top guitar but I want something to take camping, play outside and not have to worry about dents, etc. I have to say that I was blown away by the quality of the instrument -- clean construction, tuners work great, sound is clear. Replaced the brass strings with phosphor bronze 80/20 12s and I am not sure I hear $250 difference betweeen this and my Yamaha FG750s (which is an amazing axe).

Great Value

By Dude

from Reston, VA

Comments about Yamaha GigMaker Acoustic Guitar Pack:

Last year I picked up the guitar again after a 20 year break when my kids gave me this Gigmaker package so I could play along with them. Back in the day, I played a venerable Yamaha FG that had been passed down to me and a mid-tier Martin, so I expected this beginner package to be little more than junk, but was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the instrument. As mentioned by others, the accessories are el-cheapo, but the package cost the same as the guitar by itself, so think of the package as free strings and picks (with a backup tuner if you can't find your Korg). Out of the box, the F325 stayed in tune and the action was good (not too high or too low), both of which can be very important for new players who don't know any better. My F325 has good tone and sustain (excellent for the price), a strong low end and middle, with the high end a bit bright (less so after changing the strings) and surprisingly-good projection for a laminated top. Other Yamaha F series guitars I have played recently at GC had similar qualities, so it appears that Yamaha is maintaining good QC. The overall playability and sound from this guitar belie its entry-level price and are an order of magnitude better than some entry-level instruments such as the First Act "222" and Fender acoustics sold at Target. Yamaha has impressed me (which is why I'm purchasing a Yamaha-brand keyboard for the kids this Christmas).

Awesome beginner for the price

By rockin rob

from Ohio

Comments about Yamaha GigMaker Acoustic Guitar Pack:

I actually bought this guitar for taking on boy scout campouts. It has really surprised me. If you lower the bridge by about 1/8th of an inch, and put D'Addario phosphor bronze EJ16 strings on it, you'll be impressed at the quality of sound this guitar produces, all the way up the fretboard. It is durable and an easy player. For $149.00 you cant go wrong.

Comments about Yamaha GigMaker Acoustic Guitar Pack:

The Guitar was great, was bought for my daughter to begin lessons, But the gigbag is less than desireable, very cheap no padding or carry pockets. CD was of good quality, tuner ok. Not too bad for a beginner.

Kickin

By Rendyn Moe

from Montana

Comments about Yamaha GigMaker Acoustic Guitar Pack:

Guitar sounds this good, unbelievable, it's bunk! My cousin bought a Washburn for around $300 and this Yamaha F325 blows that out of the water. I had a Martin D15 and this guitar is just about as nice to play. I bought this guitar because I didn't want my kids to bust it up and I am very surprised as how well it sounds and plays. Turner is weird to use, the case isn't great, but who cares. Buy a hard case. You cannot beat this deal. I bet the solid top sounds even better. Play on.
