  • Sweep

As reviewed by Quinton on 12/31/2008

This is the most amazing wah I have ever used. It has such amazing sweep that gives you the fattest tone you can find, depending on you taste, of course. Now, this pedal isn't going to get you that metal tone. This pedal Will, however, get you the most incredible Clapton/Hendrix tone ever, if that's what you're in to, and it also gets amazing blues and psychedelic tones, and a decent reggae tone as well. I play a 90s Japanese strat through this wah, a Boss Blues Driver, and a Fender Blues Deville, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

  • Vox is the "wah" to go!

As reviewed by rockandrolldisaster on 11/13/2008

I went through about 5 different wah pedals including bad horsies, Dunlop, and a few others and finally found EXACTLY what I was looking for in this wah. I tried some of those dunlops that have little buttons and switches to 'control' your tone but they stink. The Bad Horsies were cool, but not really wah per se. This was a perfect addition to my pedal board, finally!

  • best Wah for the under $250. line up.

As reviewed by Johnny Bingo on 7/20/2009

The Vox wah has always been my favorite but this new version of the old standby is really an inprovement. Though not a true hardwire bypass, the signal sucking is really unnoticeable now and the slight volume drop when wah is engaged is no longer. The addition of a standard boss barrel-type power plug on the side is a great improvement as well. I used to have to mod mine myself to easily power them on my boards. And best of all: the better inductor Vox is now using really shows. This is the best sounding standard Vox Wah I have ever had or played through. I am totally happy with it! A friend of mine has a $250 street price wah that I like better as a all-around, pro giging wah but too much money for me right now. The Vox has my vote for best buy and all-around best for giging and rocking wah. Still the one.
