An all-tube amplifier, the AC50CP2 from VOX is an EL34-powered 50-watt combo that marries the classic VOX tone and chime of rock and roll legend with a versatile high-gain channel. It does it all from the 50s to tomorrow. Sound big? You bet.
This is the best new amp to have come out. I first saw it at the Winter NAMM show. You can get most of the tones of the AC30CC2 and more. I own both of them so I can tell you the main difference is the channel switching capability. Channel 1 can get super clean to very crunchy. Channel two is what I needed for that boost of gain with the option of switching on the fat and bright switches which add gain and clarity. Basically all I can say is good things. Only thing is its really bassy, which I like, but some don't.
