Comments about V-MODA Crossfade LP2 Vocal:
I purchased these to replace my set of Pioneer HDJ-1500's because the fold points finally broke apart after 2 years of use. doing my normal spec check the packaging reported 5hz - 30khz (normal range for hearing is 20hz - 22kHz ) The pioneers I had also sat within this range as did my previous headphones for studio work (Ultrasone Pro 750's) both the pioneer and ultrasones had the same frequency response and the audio reproduction between both was quite close and was hard to tell a difference running flat EQ's. Sadly the V-Moda's are way off on what's reported on the package. the drivers are super bass heavy and while some may enjoy that, you do not get a proper representation of the original mastered track. I find myself changing from a flat EQ setup to one that's heavy on Bass reduction to come close to what is expected. this company has no clue on how to properly build a driver for a flat wide spectrum. it's current setup on the drivers caused all the other audio frequencies to become lost in the mud of too much Bass and the listener misses out on nuances present in the audio being played because of this. this also shows that these headphones cannot be used for mastering audio either. I would recommend these as used for gaming (because of the provided in line Mic and controls) the bang for the buck spent while the additional accessories are nice, but leaves me wanting for a better set instead. if you're looking for inexpensive headphones that give a good representation of what the studio put out, get the pioneers and save $70.00 (after taxes) if you want a decent beats alternative, get these..

Quite happy with the headphones. They are bass heavy but a few tweaks to your phones equalizer can fix that.
