Overview

The 1 SPOT is the original 9V DC adapter that only takes up one spot on your power strip. With the ability to handle up to 1700mA, the 1 SPOT can power your entire pedal board with room to spare. Is the cable on your existing adapter too short? No problem with the 1 SPOT – its cable is 10' long!

Worried about compatibility with your pedals? Confused about polarity, plug size, voltage, etc.? The 1 SPOT makes it easy by providing a guaranteed list of adapters it can replace. They are: Boss PSA, Boss ACA, DOD PS-200R, Morley 9V, Danelectro DA-1, Dunlop ECB-03, Ibanez AC109, Zoom AD-0006. If your pedal takes one of these adapters (a 90% chance), you can use the 1 SPOT.

New technology even allows you to use the 1 SPOT anywhere in the world without a voltage converter because it automatically converts voltage worldwide. Are you worried about AC hum coming through an adapter? Don't be. The 1 SPOT is one of the most quiet power sources you can buy.

Features
  • Only takes up one spot on your power strip!
  • Handles up to 1700mA - the 1 SPOT can power your entire pedal board with juice to spare
  • 10' long cable
  • The Multi-Plug 4 Cable (sold separately) connects the 1 SPOT with up to 4 pedals
  • Connects to additional cables to power more pedals
  • You only need a single 1 SPOT to power your entire pedal board!
  • Compatible with Boss PSA, Boss ACA, DOD PS-200R, Morley 9V, Danelectro DA-1, Dunlop ECB-003, Ibanez AC109, Zoom AD-0006 adapters

The 1Spot was probably one of the best guitar related purchases I have ever made. It saves me money, so that I don't have to keep buying 9V batteries for my pedals. It also saves me worry because I don't have to worry about a pedal dying on me while I am playing and having to replace the battery. Get this and the 5 plug adapter and you will never buy another 9v battery again! Oh yea, I also used this adapter to power an old casio keyboard I had, and it worked perfectly!

Been using this with the daisy chain for a bunch of pedals I have (Dunlop Crybaby, Boss Noise Reduction, Boss Overdrive/Distortion, and Digitech Bass Squeeze). Little after a month, I've noticed subtle noise. A week after, noticed sound fading as well as sudden pops. The next day it died (no power delievered). I will get another one since I already have the daisy chain, and I love the compact design but only wish that it stays alive longer this time!

Comments about Truetone 1 SPOT Space-Saving 9V DC Adapter:

I have used a one spot power supply for several years. I am on my 3rd pedal board and am still using the same one spot. My pedal boards are built from wood with a removable cover. For power I have a power strip wired into a computer cord Inlet plug socket recessed in the side of the pedal board. So I just plug the power cord into the pedal board. The one spot and the daisy chain cable for the pedals are located internally in the pedal board. So I cannot relate to those who take apart their pedal chain every time they play as my boards are plug and play. I just know that the one spot has faithfully served me for years and is still going strong.

When they work, they're decent. I don't notice any noise or anything, but I can't seem to have them last for more than a year. I gig about 3-5 times a week. After every gig, I disconnect, wrap them up carefully and put them back inside my pedal board case. Still, they break w/in a year or so. I'm done buying these.

            Works as it should

I just bought this battery eliminator. I must say that I was wary because of reports of 60hz hum, but I don't have any of that. It is as dead quiet at a battery in my experience. You just have to be aware of the orientation of your power strip receptacles because on the one that I have, the prongs plug in length wise vs width wise if you know what I mean, so that the one spot actually blocks 3 spots!

I'm using this with the TC Electronic Ditto looper pedal, and have had no problems whatsoever with any ground loop/buzzing or noises. Will probably end up using this with more than one pedal while doing my solo acoustic act, but for now, it's quiet and works great with the Ditto.

NO Problems in my humble expirience.

Comments about Truetone 1 SPOT Space-Saving 9V DC Adapter:

Ok here is the bottom line with me. I have been playing for over twenty five years, very seriously for the last twelve. I am a Christian and I play mainly on my Church's worhsip team. I play for 45 min to an hour two times a week and have been doing so for pretty much the last twelve years consistently. I use a Mesa Boogie MKIV with a Les Paul, a Strat, and occaisionally an Epiphone Gothic Explorer. I say all that to say this. I dont know everything but I have a little expirience (at least within my style and genre) and I have used one of these to power my board for the last three years straight. I have had ZERO problems with this item. On the contrary it has saved me tons of stress. I have a dear friend who has been doing professional sound for thirty years and who also has had his own music stor for most of that. At one time a few years ago I was going to buy a Furman Powered pedal board (with the power conditioner element) my friend told me that was great but just use it for the board and get you a one spot to power your pedals. I passed on buying the board and got the one spot. I later thought I should buy a VooDoo Labs Pedal Power 2. Once I weighed the prices I settled on the ONe Spot. Three years later & I am still using it. I wonder if the people who give it negative reviews about noise have checked thoroughly for other problems not related to? Like grounding issues, or shorts in other cables, loss or lack of insulation etc.Perhaps they are playing full on distorted metal at top volume. I dont doubt their issues or the sincerity of their reviews, I am just saying that I have not seen (or heard for that matter) any problems with mine. Buy with confidence.

The 1Spot great for powering peddles. 1700ma will run a lot of pedals. I have no problems with noise from the 1Spot. You pay a lot of money for the metal box the other guys put there power supply cicuits in. This has filter caps in it to.

Works OK on my pedals, On my micro-cube, not so much.

            By Jeff Bigger

            from Hinsdale, Il.

Comments about Truetone 1 SPOT Space-Saving 9V DC Adapter:

So here's the thing: I have seven pedals on my board, two of which are Boss dualies. Some pedals go thru an FX loop and some right thru the signal chain. I use two one spots to power my pedals and they've been very reliable - had 'em several years now and no problems. OK, now here's the down side: Several months ago the Roland adapter I got with my micro-cube took a dump. So I figured "what the hey" I'll get another one spot. Got home and plugged it into my micro-cube and buzz-city. Took it back and got the boss psa120s and problem solved. So evidently these power supplies are good in some, but not all, applications. If your equipment is susceptible to hum you may have to bite the bullet and send the extra cash.

            The Real Scoop

            By Josh

Comments about Truetone 1 SPOT Space-Saving 9V DC Adapter:

Setup: 1SPOT ran into power in on a BOSS NS-2. Homemade wood pedal board with 8 stompboxes(NS-2, Tuner, Chorus, phase 90, Delay, graphic eq(which I use as an overdrive pedal...), wah wah and a passive volume pedal). Pedals daisy chained on the underside of board with holes drilled at locations of power inputs. Review: The 1SPOT powered all these pedals with no noise or hum. I gig 3 to 4 shows a month 4 Hrs at a time, The adapter lasted 1 year and a half until it died.
