Overview

The 1 SPOT is the original 9V DC adapter that only takes up one spot on your power strip. With the ability to handle up to 1700mA, the 1 SPOT can power your entire pedal board with room to spare. Is the cable on your existing adapter too short? No problem with the 1 SPOT – its cable is 10' long!

Worried about compatibility with your pedals? Confused about polarity, plug size, voltage, etc.? The 1 SPOT makes it easy by providing a guaranteed list of adapters it can replace. They are: Boss PSA, Boss ACA, DOD PS-200R, Morley 9V, Danelectro DA-1, Dunlop ECB-03, Ibanez AC109, Zoom AD-0006. If your pedal takes one of these adapters (a 90% chance), you can use the 1 SPOT.

New technology even allows you to use the 1 SPOT anywhere in the world without a voltage converter because it automatically converts voltage worldwide. Are you worried about AC hum coming through an adapter? Don't be. The 1 SPOT is one of the most quiet power sources you can buy.

The 1Spot was probably one of the best guitar related purchases I have ever made. It saves me money, so that I don't have to keep buying 9V batteries for my pedals. It also saves me worry because I don't have to worry about a pedal dying on me while I am playing and having to replace the battery. Get this and the 5 plug adapter and you will never buy another 9v battery again! Oh yea, I also used this adapter to power an old casio keyboard I had, and it worked perfectly!

Been using this with the daisy chain for a bunch of pedals I have (Dunlop Crybaby, Boss Noise Reduction, Boss Overdrive/Distortion, and Digitech Bass Squeeze). Little after a month, I've noticed subtle noise. A week after, noticed sound fading as well as sudden pops. The next day it died (no power delievered). I will get another one since I already have the daisy chain, and I love the compact design but only wish that it stays alive longer this time!

Great alternative to batteries

By Anonymous

from Yardley, PA

Comments about Truetone 1 SPOT Space-Saving 9V DC Adapter:

This adapter replaced my Boss PSA-120 due to its much higher milliamp output (it can power all the pedals on my board, which at this point is 14). The space-saving design is a plus, too. The only thing that would have bumped my rating a little higher would be a 9.6V output(like the Boss) as opposed to a 9V output.

Awesome Accessory for Efeects Pedals!

By Dulcimerist

from Billings, MT

Comments about Truetone 1 SPOT Space-Saving 9V DC Adapter:

Visual Sound's 1 SPOT Adapter is a must-have if you use multiple pedals and stompboxes, along with the Visual Sound Multi-Plug 5 Cable! This power supply powers multiple pedals, eliminating the need for batteries or jungles of individual AC adapters! Powering all of your effects from a single adapter with this product can eliminate signal noises that sometimes accompany the use of multiple power adapters. Visual Sound's 1 SPOT Adapter will also eliminate the hassle and headache of having to change a stompbox battery in the middle of a set or during an expensive recording session! The price is also an excellent value, costing about the same as most single-pedal adapters. Be sure to grab a couple of Visual Sound Multi-Plug 5 Cables to go with this awesome purchase! This product will pay for itself, as you will no longer be wasting money with 9-volt batteries! It's been the absolute best stompbox accessory I've ever bought!!!

Piece of garbage, do not buy

By Mike

from Eagan, MN

Comments about Truetone 1 SPOT Space-Saving 9V DC Adapter:

This 1 Spot power supply is an absolute piece of garbage. I shouldn't have let the clerk at Guitar Center talk me into giving it a try in place of getting another wall wart for my Boss TU-2 tuner pedal. Now I have to go back to return this stupid thing and I just bought it 3 hours ago. The idea is nice but the application of that idea is terrible. I plugged my Boss tuner pedal, Boss bass overdrive, and Dunlop bass Crybaby into it and the noise that this power supply put out through the amp was very loud. It essentially had the sound of an unplugged guitar cable being pressed against something to give you that ambient noise, although this was more than an ambient noise. I tried powering each pedal separately using the 1 Stop and the entire chain. No matter how I tried it the noise would not subside. I also covered the 2 unused jacks with electrical tape to be sure that wasn't the problem. Went back to the individual adapters that I have and POOF! THE NOISE WAS GONE. Do not buy this product, get the individual adapters or spend money on a good (expensive) power supply.

By Strat Matt

from Davenport, IA

Comments about Truetone 1 SPOT Space-Saving 9V DC Adapter:

This is quite simply the best adapter for your pedals, it powers them all, any brand! I have used this with all sorts of pedals and have never had a problem with noise or overload, it is a great product at a magnificent price! Pair it with the 5 in 1 adapter and 1 wall plug can power all of your pedals!

Great product, BUT...

By Erik

from Madison, WI

Comments about Truetone 1 SPOT Space-Saving 9V DC Adapter:

I have no complaints about the adaptor itself - it's a really innovative design and works great. However, the advertisement itself says that the "Visual Sound 1 Spot Space-Saving 9V DC Adapter FEATURES: The Multi-Plug 4 Cable connects the 1 Spot with up to four pedals." It doesn't. Kinda sucks when you order it, have a gig the day it arrives and then have to go out to the store to pick up a multi-plug cable.

AMAZING, but mine died after 2 months of use

By Amanda Lepre

from Austin, TX

Comments about Truetone 1 SPOT Space-Saving 9V DC Adapter:

Mine shorted out yesterday. Hopefully I can get the manufacturer to either repair it or send me another one... however, the idea is amazing, and it works like a charm. I've got only four pedals so far: BOSS CS-3 Comp/Sustain, BOSS Pedal Tuner, Digitech Digital Delay, and BOSS Chorus Ensemble. Highly recommended -- just be weary that it might die on you. :(

Works, BUT..

By Chris

from Salt Lake City, UT

Comments about Truetone 1 SPOT Space-Saving 9V DC Adapter:

I bought one of these to power my BOSS NS-2 Noise Supressor, and strangely enough when I plug the power supply into the pedal it actually CREATES nosie in my signal chain. Dissapointing, considering the pedal is there to REMOVE noise.

Do yourself a favor, stop daisy chaining power supplies

By paul

from N Dallas TX

Comments about Truetone 1 SPOT Space-Saving 9V DC Adapter:

It may not matter with several little boss like effects but when you start running high end gear you need filitered isolated and regulated power supplies. You do not exceed voltage on 9v effects and you have to supply each effect the mA current it needs. You can run more mA but not less and if you run more voltage than the device calls you will burn it up. Daisy chaining is a really good way to get ground loop hum, by pass switch popping and noise. Step up and get the Voodoo Lab, BBE or DC brick power supply and stop running your chain like a kid.

Comments about Truetone 1 SPOT Space-Saving 9V DC Adapter:

I got this product to power my morpheus droptune and my bad monkey and it created a horrid buzzing sound. I would recomend getting the DC brick and that what i did the brick is 100 times better and would recomend it a million times over this one

Comments about Truetone 1 SPOT Space-Saving 9V DC Adapter:

The 1Spot great for powering peddles. 1700ma will run a lot of pedals. I have no problems with noise from the 1Spot. You pay a lot of money for the metal box the other guys put there power supply cicuits in. This has filter caps in it to.

NO Problems in my humble expirience.

By calvery church in sparta

from Carbondale, IL.

Comments about Truetone 1 SPOT Space-Saving 9V DC Adapter:

Ok here is the bottom line with me. I have been playing for over twenty five years, very seriously for the last twelve. I am a Christian and I play mainly on my Church's worhsip team. I play for 45 min to an hour two times a week and have been doing so for pretty much the last twelve years consistently. I use a Mesa Boogie MKIV with a Les Paul, a Strat, and occaisionally an Epiphone Gothic Explorer. I say all that to say this. I dont know everything but I have a little expirience (at least within my style and genre) and I have used one of these to power my board for the last three years straight. I have had ZERO problems with this item. On the contrary it has saved me tons of stress. I have a dear friend who has been doing professional sound for thirty years and who also has had his own music stor for most of that. At one time a few years ago I was going to buy a Furman Powered pedal board (with the power conditioner element) my friend told me that was great but just use it for the board and get you a one spot to power your pedals. I passed on buying the board and got the one spot. I later thought I should buy a VooDoo Labs Pedal Power 2. Once I weighed the prices I settled on the ONe Spot. Three years later & I am still using it. I wonder if the people who give it negative reviews about noise have checked thoroughly for other problems not related to? Like grounding issues, or shorts in other cables, loss or lack of insulation etc.Perhaps they are playing full on distorted metal at top volume. I dont doubt their issues or the sincerity of their reviews, I am just saying that I have not seen (or heard for that matter) any problems with mine. Buy with confidence.

Comments about Truetone 1 SPOT Space-Saving 9V DC Adapter:

When they work, they're decent. I don't notice any noise or anything, but I can't seem to have them last for more than a year. I gig about 3-5 times a week. After every gig, I disconnect, wrap them up carefully and put them back inside my pedal board case. Still, they break w/in a year or so. I'm done buying these.

      Great Power Supply

      By CGraham

      from Pittsburgh, PA

Comments about Truetone 1 SPOT Space-Saving 9V DC Adapter:

I picked up the 1 sopt power supply when i got my boss super overdrive pedal and all i can say is wow. This thing is very compact and gives my pedal a great amount of clean power. I also tried it with my dunlop crybaby 535Q pedal and it can power that too. I plan on getting the cable that allows multiple pedals to be powered by this supply. Great Product!

Too Much Power for One Pedal?

      By Joe

      from Scituate, MA

Comments about Truetone 1 SPOT Space-Saving 9V DC Adapter:

I planned to use this adapter for my Dunlop Crybaby Wah. However, when I plugged it in, I noticed an added humming sound to my signal. Then, I tried my Digitech PS200R adapter that came with my RP90 and there was no hum. Then I tried the Visual Sound adapter with my RP90 and the hum was back. I noticed that this adapter put out 1700ma. The RP90 only uses 300ma, so there is way more power being supplied than needed. Perhaps if I used the full 1700ma using more than one pedal there would be no noise...

Works OK on my pedals, On my micro-cube, not so much.

      By Jeff Bigger

      from Hinsdale, Il.

Comments about Truetone 1 SPOT Space-Saving 9V DC Adapter:

So here's the thing: I have seven pedals on my board, two of which are Boss dualies. Some pedals go thru an FX loop and some right thru the signal chain. I use two one spots to power my pedals and they've been very reliable - had 'em several years now and no problems. OK, now here's the down side: Several months ago the Roland adapter I got with my micro-cube took a dump. So I figured "what the hey" I'll get another one spot. Got home and plugged it into my micro-cube and buzz-city. Took it back and got the boss psa120s and problem solved. So evidently these power supplies are good in some, but not all, applications. If your equipment is susceptible to hum you may have to bite the bullet and send the extra cash.

Comments about Truetone 1 SPOT Space-Saving 9V DC Adapter:

I have used a one spot power supply for several years. I am on my 3rd pedal board and am still using the same one spot. My pedal boards are built from wood with a removable cover. For power I have a power strip wired into a computer cord Inlet plug socket recessed in the side of the pedal board. So I just plug the power cord into the pedal board. The one spot and the daisy chain cable for the pedals are located internally in the pedal board. So I cannot relate to those who take apart their pedal chain every time they play as my boards are plug and play. I just know that the one spot has faithfully served me for years and is still going strong.
