Takamine 2013 Limited "The Peak" Special Edition Acoustic-Electric Guitar Natural

Takamine celebrates 51 years of acoustic tradition and peerless guitar craft with the special-edition LTD2013 SE Peak model. Fifty-one of these beautifully crafted, elegantly distinctive instruments will be built to represent the very summit of the Takamine acoustic experience. The design will never be duplicated.

The LTD2013 SE Peaks unique œNew Yorker parlor-style design, solid bear claw spruce top and solid Hawaiian koa back and sides produce a clear, full-bodied voice with airy sweetness and character. The distinctive climber motif inlay work spans the entire fingerboard, representing the concept of œPeak, a perspective of continuous improvement. Additional ornamental touches such as maple body binding, dark wood purfling, spalted maple/cocobolo rosette, and gloss natural finish further accentuate the instruments refined elegance.

Other premium features include a mahogany neck with 20-fret ebony fingerboard, rosewood bridge with split bone saddle, chrome tuners with pearl knobs, Palathetic pickup and TLD-2 onboard preamp. Each guitar will be numbered on the soundhole label and will come with a special certificate of authenticity hand-signed by the President of Takamine Japan.

TLD Line Driver
The Takamine Line Driver, TLD for short, is the system we choose to employ in our most special guitars. Designed to be installed unobtrusively inside the guitar, it requires no cutting into the high-value, exotic tone woods used in building our specialty shop guitars.

The TLD is a discreet line driver and buffer that sends a clean and noise free œactive signal to the output jack. While there is no on-board volume or tone control, the TLD is œpre-EQd with a mild bass and treble boost and mid frequency cut for a very natural amplified acoustic tone.
