These picks are awesome! The sandpaper grip will NEVER wear off! I bought the flimsiest kind (0.6) because it works great for strumming. You could easily bend it 150 degrees without breaking or permanent bending. You can hang onto these picks very loosley without dropping. You hardly feel the grip. I highly reccomend this pick to all ages. I took a cheap Yamaha 0.7 pick and bent it. It broke. I did the same thing with a Snarling Dog and it went back into its original position.

The answer to all of us guitarists who have finally found a pick with the perfect "grip". You will not drop this pick while you play...but the heaviest pick, the 1.14 (my preference)they make, but it feels more like a .88 or maybe a 1.0 thickness, another words, too soft a plastic! Growling Dogs Brain pick people, are you listening? Improve on the quality or at least make a thicker line of picks.

Best Pick Around Hands Down!

By Jeremy Huffman

from Central Ohio

I've seen lots of picks around that make claims about better grip. But this is the ONLY set of picks that actually backs up it's claim, in my experience anyhow. A little pricey in comparison with the cheaper picks I generally ended up buying in the past. Since the first time I bought these picks, I have never purchased another brand. And I probably never will! I very rarely play on a stage, but when I do, I trust no other pick. This is THE one for me. And I am not generally the type of person to give an easy 5-star rating. 5-Stars, to me, means perfection, and that's the rating this line of picks deserves!

The best picks I've ever had!

By Kristopher Hershberger

from Fort Polk Louisiana

These picks are really something. I haven't had too much experience with picks but I know a good pick when I use one. The grips one the picks are outstanding. You really notice a big difference from when you switch over from a smooth skinned pick, especially when you really start to shred. I only have one qualm with these picks and it's purely cosmetic and that's the color. The picks should really come in different colors. Other than that these snarling dogs should keep with me for a while because I'm buy more one they all get stolen.

Greatest Picks - Better Than Max Grips

By Naoto Barrett

from Stallings, NC

These are the BEST picks I have ever used. The grip works wonderfully and I can play lead and rhythm will comfort and ease using the .73s. In my experience, the Snarling Dogs work even better than the Dunlop Max Grip brand and have a much more natural feeling grip on the picks. The box the picks are packaged in comes as an added bonus too. Very good picks.

Best picks ever. The end.

By Stacie King

from Grand Rapids, MI

The grip on these and the comfort surpasses even the .60 gripped Dunlop. These look sweet but they play sweeter. I've tried to be flexible and change it up...tried a ton of picks. None compare to these. They don't slip out of my hands, comfortable to hold and I dig the colors (I play .60 and purple is my favorite...so I mean, it just works).

Excellent picks and excellent service

By Dave Shephard

from Gas City, IN

Love the feel of the Brain picks. Ordered .60s and .88s and will soon be ordering 1.0 mm and .53s. The service was excellent. My order arrived quickly and I am very pleased with the product and the service.

Totally Amazed

By Beth McPike

from Kokomo in

I was looking for a good pick to get for my 7 y/o daughter. These were recommended to me by the guitar center employee due to there non-slip grip. I was skeptical at first due to to them coming in the tin, thought they might be a novelty item. We got home and these picks have just blown me away. I have been using gator grips 1.14mm for a while, and they don't come close to the great feel or these brain picks. I had bought the purple .60mm light picks for my daughter to use and even though I do not like thin picks, can not quit using these. Going back to buy some thicker ones as soon as I can. If your looking for a great pick try these.

Nice grip! They're picks...they pick, they pluck, you can scratch behind your ear with them! They come in a cool tin! I'm getting the black ones next time. I like 'em....a lot.

Love these picks!

By benjamin jacobs

from fredericksburg, va

Snarling Dogs Brain Picks 1.00 gauge are my favorite by far! Non-slip, nice gritty feel with plenty of bite when you lean into them. Help get my fat tone on my les paul. Not too bright nor muddy on my acoustics.. the sound of the pick does not get in the way of the tone of the guitar! it's just right.

Awesome Picks!

By Joe Sheard

from Cincinnati OH

I first bought a 12 pack of .60 purple brain picks for my Fender strat, and loved the grip and the lightness on the strings. I enjoyed the picks so much that I decided to buy some for my bass. I tried the 1 and 1.14mm because of the thickness. These both proved just as good, and I have been happy ever since.

Best pick in existence!!!!!

By Hunter

from Huntsville Alabama

I use the red(.73mm) and the grey(1.00mm) picks and they are amazing! They never slip out of my hands, i have clammy hands and they are like glue! The grip is amazing and the nylon base sounds amazing. The red one is good for acoustic and the grey is good on electric. You can use any size for any guitar but i found the grey one is really good on the electric because i play a lot of fast rock anad it works like a a dream! This is a must buy pick. Go get some today!!!!!
