Just plug into a sampler and start playing-Roland TM-2 works best but a Simmons pad worked fine/NOTE: trigger would NOT fit my vintage Ludwig and Vistalite hoops as they are larger than 1 and five eighths inch so the new thicker hoops would have to be notched to 1 and a half to one and five eighths to work. GREAT for sound reinforcement/ no mics needed for small venues and you get Pro sounding drums.... wonderful effects with small gear. Easy adjustment for sensitivity- picks up soft hits as well as double rolls.

Comments about Roland RT-30K Acoustic Bass Drum Trigger:

Having owned Roland drums for years in various evolutions the RT 30K is simply another bulletproof
offer from the best name in musical electronics. Never having been interested in the past in any type of hybrid set arrangement I found that after every tweak I could think of to my current bass drum that I use for roadwork I just could not get that LF thud I was after. Enter the Roland TM 2 and the RT 30 and viola!
Why did I wait so long? Instant big fat round thud straight out of the presets. So easy to use and leaps and bounds better in build quality compared to Ddrum trigger. Pull the trigger on this trigger!!

Comments about Roland RT-30K Acoustic Bass Drum Trigger:

Could not get my current bass drum to tune as low as I wanted. Added this trigger to replace the Ddrum trigger which appeared not to be the kind of quality I was looking for. Also found out after the
Ddrum trigger purchase that only the Roland RT-30K would work with the TM-2 cross trigger and re trigger suppression function. Found out the sales people ( or at least 3 of them ) were not knowledgeable about these products. Anyway, viola!, bass drum acoustically micd in combo with trigger really dialed in the sound I was looking for.

Comments about Roland RT-30K Acoustic Bass Drum Trigger:

This thing is great, easy to slip on and tighten screw. That's it, but place it opposite side of floor to around 8oclock on drum. Did not think it would be so dynamic in response. It's so good I now use to in my recording studio also. Having a bass drum trigger included in recording lets you do about anything with it..

Comments about Roland RT-30K Acoustic Bass Drum Trigger:

I got this to use with my Roland SPDSX. I was thrilled with how easy it was to set up. I told the SPDSX what trigger I was inputing and I was drumming! I use this at church on my acoustic set to accent and change the kick. I highly recommend it!

Comments about Roland RT-30K Acoustic Bass Drum Trigger:

We had trouble with the cheapies triggers and gave Roland a try..evidently triggering is not a perfect science...the Roland trigger would still double hit but only 2% of the time and only the drummer would notice. turn the gain way down. now I know why they are out of stock.
