  • A Beginner

As reviewed by Roger Napier on 4/10/2013

The mandolin came on time. Packing was good. Condition was perfect. No imperfections. It was already set up. The only thing I had to do was tune it. The keys were great, it tuned very easely. I did not have to retune it each time I picked it up to play. I would definately recommend it for a beginner.

  • Great mandolin for the money

As reviewed by Frank on 11/16/2014

My wife found this at Guitar Center today and brought it over to me. The workmanship was great and I was amazed that it was only a $60 mandolin. I have played the guitar for 48yrs and I really liked the sound and tone when I played around with it. I said to my wife good find. I asked the salesman for a how to book and strings and the price was still under $100 with tax included. I look forward to learning to play. I already learned 3 chords so I'm on my way and enjoying something new. Only 4 stars because a string broke while I was tuning. Still not bad for $60.

  • Amazed.....happily so !

As reviewed by Mark Gelinas on 12/15/2013

I took advantage of the recent sale to stock up on musical gifts for my out-of-state family's xmas. Today I received several well-packed boxes containing a wide assortment of wind, percussion, and stringed instruments along with a tuner, picks, and stocking stuffers that'll need wrapping, re-boxing, etc for shipment. As per usual I inspected each item carefully (all was well) and was impressed with this mandolin- so much so that I had to unpack it and tune it up to see how it sounds. NOW I'm stuck with having to order another one to replace it because I'm keeping it for myself! I'll have to pay a little more for it now because the sale is over, but it'll still be a great bargain. The entire order was ridiculously low-priced (saved hundreds) yet the quality seems to be top-notch all the way around. Will definitely ABSOLUTELY buy from Guitar Center again (after the additional mandolin purchase)and widely recommend the store! 5+ stars! ...now I've gotta learn to play this thing.....
