  • ConcertCasts are my favorite pads!

As reviewed by pcake on 11/8/2010

I own 4 Pintech ConcertCast pads - one 10" dual zone that I use for a snare and three 10" single zones. I find them to be very quiet acoustically, extremely sturdy and very sensitive. They feel good to play, although not entirely like an acoustic drum, but then I'm an edrummer, and I like the feel of these. I like the external adjustment knobs - very handy for changes without having to use your module. I suspect that the reviewer that found his less responsive than his other pads may not have tried tightening the head. I preferred my Pintechs to my Roland PD-85 and to my 10" Hart Acupad, but also keep in mind you can change the bounce/rebound not only by adjusting the head tension but also by changing to another brand's head as Pintech, Roland and Hart mesh heads all have their own unique feel. Overall I've found my Pintech ConcertCasts to be sturdy, look great, fun to play, responsive and a great value.

  • great upgrade from rubber pads

As reviewed by x on 12/29/2009

GC was blowing these out on a clearance so i picked up a 12" and 2 10" for an amazing price. with some slight messing around with my hardware (yamaha pads have horizontal mounts-these require vertical) i was off and running. proper sensitivity is a matter of adjusting the output on the pad AND the module input-you should be able to get exactly the sensitivity you need. these pads and Superior 2.0 have turned my affordable e-kit into a respectable instrument.

  • A REALLY Nice Pad...

As reviewed by Bob on 5/11/2011

Our band practices at my place because that's where the equipment is. Our drummer uses my cheezy e-kit but I've been upgrading it with Pintech Pads. He's impressed. This from a guy who restores and collects drums (must have 8 complete vintage acoustic sets: Ludwig, Premier, Gretsch, Slingerland, etc. ) AND plays a $5K+ Roland set. He likes the Pintech's response, the dual triggers, the beefy build and the 2 drum mounted gain controls... something his Roland's don't have. Now, he's not going to run out and trade in his Roland's but he does give Pintech high marks for their quality and credit where credit is due. Hey, if he's happy, the band is happy.
