Overview

Voiced for tight, punchy bass with lots of harmonic tone, the versatility and performance of the Headliner 410 bass speaker cabinet encourages use with any fine bass amp head. The Headliner 410 is constructed using internal bracing, and is covered with roadworthy black carpet. Steel corners protect the cabinet from the rigors of the road. The cabinet includes a black powdercoat finished 16 gauge perforated metal grille.
The four 10" ferrite magnet woofers are designed with a rich bass tone in mind. The sealed cabinet insures tight bass notes, with every note rendered precisely. Inputs include two 1/4" input phone jacks, and one 4-pin twist-lock connector for maximum flexibility.
With a nominal impedance of 8 ohms, and a power handling of 800 watts program and 1600 watts peak, the Headliner 410 can be used in conjunction with any reasonably sized bass amp head. With the 8 ohm impedance, the Headliner 410 can be easily stacked with a Headliner 210 cabinet on top, resulting in a 4-ohm total load.

Peavey 410 Bass China Cabinet

By William Pawley

from Leesburg, Georgia

Comments about Peavey Headliner 410 4x10 Bass Speaker Cabinet:

I guess Peavey had to go off-shore to stay competitive with all the other instrument manufacturers. Although most of the stuff we get from China is junk, this cabinet, so far, has been pretty good. I have been a Peavey user for decades now and it has always been ready to use when I was ready to play. I hope the quality control keeps up and gets better. I have had this cabinet just a few days and it has been already put to the test. First day I got it, it was unpacked from the carton it came in and went right onto a stage. Kept my fingers crossed that it would work as well as I had hoped, and it did. I am pushing it with an Acoustic B300H and it handled it with no problem what so ever. No Rattles or anything that shouldn't have been there as far as sound goes. This cab will be moved around a lot, playing different clubs, practice sessions, loaded and unloaded a lot. I think a nicer front grill/cover would have been better but when you get old like me and have to move stuff yourself most of the time, anything that saves weight is welcome. What's with the carpet cabinet covering though? My cat thought it was a new scratching post when I brought it home and now I keep it covered with a blanket just to keep it looking clean (no claws on the cat by the way). These four 10 inch speakers move a lot of air though. It has good tone, good volume, and good sound. It also is not too bad to pick up and move around by myself (thank goodness for a small hand truck though). I think I will keep this one for a while.

Comments about Peavey Headliner 410 4x10 Bass Speaker Cabinet:

I have always relied on Peavey equipment to provide good sound, to be built to last, and to agree with my budget. The Headliner 4 x 10 meets all those standards easily. I play rock and roll and I am also in a Grateful Dead cover band which requires the heavy "Phil bombs" from the bass. I am amazed at the sound that this cabinet produces. From the quiet slow tunes to the alll-out rockers this cabinet handled all challenges with clear tones and ease especially the low B string frequencies. I use a Peavey 700 Max head to power the cabinet and play a Tobias "Killer B" 5 string bass. The combination of all components gives me all I need to shape my sound depending on the tone required for each song. I may just get another Peavey Headliner 4 x 10 to stack on the one I have now for the bigger venues and to add more rumble, but the one I have now is doing a great job for me. So if you want great tone and are on a budget (saving for the kid's college, mortgage, bills, etc....) definitely consider this Peavey product. It is all about the bass, and Peavey got it right!

Comments about Peavey Headliner 410 4x10 Bass Speaker Cabinet:

The cabinet has been out to numerous venues, mid-sized to larger and performs well. Either direct or mic'ed or stand alone. Delivers great bottom and good mid tones. Highs aren't bad, cut thru well with on board EQ and hi/low tone control with contour. Lots of heavyweight cabs out there for $600 plus ... this Baby Huey comes in under $300. Only down side is weight at 72 pounds (I think) and no wheels so pick up something to roll it with. Casters, dolly, etc. I run a Fender Jazz thru it and it's a kick butt combo.
