Yeah, Mogami cables are really worth their price because they are simply invisible in your chain. Mogamis actually have a solid lead like the coaxial cable that connects to your TV, but they don't have the stiff feel of that type cable at all, they're extremely flexible solid cables and the Neutrik plugs are much nicer than most 1/4" connectors.

I bought this cable because I am dealing with some front end noise issues with my rig and I wanted to eliminate the possibility that my current cable was causing the problem. When I got this I plugged in and all the noise was still there, so I then know it wasn't coming from the cable being used; however my tone definitely changed and in my opinion it was for the worse. This cable really seemed to darken and dampen my tone, so I switched back to my original cable. I am keeping this for a backup because it does seem to be well made; however I just don't see any benefit to using this cable over something less expensive.

Fantastic cable

By Chad

from Great Falls, Mt

Comments about Mogami Gold Series Instrument Cable:

I was looking for a good instrument cable to replace my cheap one. I feel like my amp just came to life, my clean channel was sparkling, and sweet harmonics and crunching distortion came out of the dirty channel of my tube amp. If someone had told me they had lifted a blanket off the top of my combo i would have believed them. i plan on completely replacing all of my cables in my chain with mogamis. they are a touch pricey but well worth it.

It is a Mogami made by Marshall

By Michael Pinkston

Comments about Mogami Gold Series Instrument Cable:

It is a Mogami made by Marshall... Do I really need to say more. It has a lifetime warranty. The last cord you will ever buy. I own many Mogami cords. Yes, they cost a bit more but you never have to buy another one... Also the GOLD... Best conductive metal on earth.

Why didn't I get this sooner???

By R.J.M.

from San Diego

Comments about Mogami Gold Series Instrument Cable:

I've been playing on a Vetta II full stack for about 2 years now on some of the higher end Schecter guitars, some with real EMG's and some with the SD pickups and I never really thought about my cables. The ones I used to used sounded just fine, but on a hunch I decided to splurge some money on new cables. Let me tell you now, within seconds of plugging in and just working on some speed drills and warmups, I could hear a huge difference. The clarity of tone was better, my pinch harmonics just screamed more without feedback, I was able to grind out more insane riffs with a bit more distortion to get the true punch I wanted and did not have feedback issues, cable noises, nothing!!!!! I've spent a lot of money on amps and guitars and had I known a simple cable would help so much, I'd of changed sooner. This product is definately worth every penny. Note: Not sure about the 25 foot cable(haven't used it) as signal dampens over 18 1/2 feet but the 18 footers I bought worked out like a dream!!!!!

AWESOME!!!!!!!

By WO1 Theran E Martin

from Fort Polk, LA

Comments about Mogami Gold Series Instrument Cable:

I am new to the guitar world but It isnt hard to tell when you have bought a good product. I got a basic cable with the package deal that I bought. And it sounded ok at 1st, but then it started having tons of feedback, popping, etc... So I did my homework and after almost buying a Monster Cable I came across the MOGAMI. Well I am glad I took the extra time to research. This thing is AWESOME!!!!!!! There is no other way to describe it. Its pricey, but it was well worth it and Im sure the guys that have been at this longer than I have can agree. BUY IT!!!!

Didn't think it would make this much difference

By Patrick

from NJ

Comments about Mogami Gold Series Instrument Cable:

I needed to upgrade my cheap $5 10 foot cable to something larger because I was having trouble reaching my amp at some venues. I bought the 18 foot cable and really didn't believe any of that "improves tone" stuff. Well I have got to say that after trying it out I didn't think a cable made any kind of difference in tone and the difference this made was incredible. No more fuzz from the amp at high volumes, more treble, clearer tone. I plugged my old cable in for comparison and was amazed that difference in quality. Worth the money!

Low noise, durable

By Michael

Comments about Mogami Gold Series Instrument Cable:

I used to use Monster cables, I also have a Lava ELC cable. I prefer the Mogami. I play bass, so the extra low capacitance of the Lava makes the high end a bit harsh. Could be better suited for guitar. The Mogami has a bit higher capacitance but it really brings the low-mids forward and gives a smoother top end. The shielding on the Mogami is the best as well. I like to move around on stage and sometimes I will accidentally step on my cables. The Lava cable pops a lot when this happens, the Mogami remains silent. For as thin as this cable is, the shielding is very impressive, as is the durability. Highly recommended cable for the working musician.

Great product.

By Joshua

Comments about Mogami Gold Series Instrument Cable:

Hands down the best cable I have ever used. Great sound compared to cheaper cables I have used in the past. I would not even consider letting the price deter me from buying this cable. If you are looking for a great cable, you found it. Not to mention the lifetime warranty that comes with this product. I would highly recommend this product for any guitar player.

Cables Really Makes the Difference!

By Leo

Comments about Mogami Gold Series Instrument Cable:

I've got a stock first act strat from my aunt awhile ago, it sounded ugly and at one time thought about getting new pick-ups for the time being before the actually guitar i want (Fender Tele American.) i use to use a cheaper cable that now i know took all the tone out of it, but after buying this Mogami cable in 18' all i can say is WOW. it truly sounds clearer from the start and i don't need to buy new pick-ups now, it well give you amazing tone without noise and is just a great buy. expensive, but you TRULY get what you pay for!

Great Cable!

By Mattie D

from Wareham, MA

Comments about Mogami Gold Series Instrument Cable:

Prior to this cable, I had a Monster cable. This 18 Ft. Mogami blows it away. It is quiet, even with a lot of distortion. It improved my tone so much! Not sure about durability yet... we will see. Seems pretty ruggid though. The price is pretty high, but it is well worth the money! I would definately recommend this cable... get the 18 or 25 ft though.

Mogami Gold instrument cable

By Lou

from Marlborough, MA

Comments about Mogami Gold Series Instrument Cable:

Just purchased this cable for electric accoustic guitar. Recommended by the sales clerk as being as equal to the Monster accoustic cable. I own an accoustic Monster cable however it is the short version rather than the 20 footer. The store did not have the longer Monster cable. I tried both and frankly it was difficult to sense or hear much of a difference between them.

Mogami...What more do you have to say?

By Scott Heddle

from Ann Arbor, MI

Comments about Mogami Gold Series Instrument Cable:

After decades of top notch cables from Mogami, nothing has changed here. Plus, you can't beat a warranty that covers everything including my dog eating it. A little pricey but its the last cable you'll ever need to buy...ever!

Nice cables and worth the price

By MARK MORROW

from wi

Comments about Mogami Gold Series Instrument Cable:

I am primarily an acoustic guitar player and Bought Mogami cables from the get go for my acoustic/electric guitars and Mics as well. I Always felt that the Mogami cables did a good job and my only other instrument cable is a 500 series Monster. It works fine and sounds fine but I think the Mogami has nicer tone. I forgot to pack a cable one day when going to a friends to play. so I used a cable he had there,It was some cheep thing and right from the first note the loss of tone was very apparent. Very thin and it made my guitar sound crispy. That and the noise, good grief every time I moved, things were popping, clicking and snapping. It was terrible. If you have any doubt, just take the plunge, you will not regret it.

YOU NEED THESE

By Jeffey Hamilton

from Holyoke MA

Comments about Mogami Gold Series Instrument Cable:

If you care about your tone, you need these. I have my entire rig outfitted with Mogami cables, and it is a whole new world. The amp is practically silent when the strings are muted, even with six pedals in the chain. The sound I get from my guitar and effects is everything I always dreamed they would be.

Worth it! Get Them!

By Steve

from Miami, FL

Comments about Mogami Gold Series Instrument Cable:

I used to have a monster rock 12 ft, a cheap livewire,a livewire elite and a planet waves cable. I got the 18 ft mogami, and it blew them all away by a mile! You will hear the difference!Took me less than 5 minutes. Unlike other brands, you really do get what you pay for. If you're unsure about buying this, don't be. They're expensive, but worth every penny! My rig sounds better. I won't go back to using Monster, which are good too. But Mogami really is on another level. Trust me, get em,you'll be glad you did.

Pricey, but you get what you pay for.

By Nile

from San Antonio, TX

Comments about Mogami Gold Series Instrument Cable:

I bought a Mogami cable for my electric violin a couple of months ago upon the recommendation of a Guitar Center employee. I really didn't know a lot about cables as I am just now learning about electric instruments. Upon a friend's recommendation, I bought two more cables, but Monster Standards this time. As soon as I plugged that in, the amp played the radio! I even live in the country where there isn't a lot of radio interference to begin with. I plugged in my Mogami, and no noise. I exchanged the two Monster cables for a 18 foot Mogami Gold. Even with the credit, I still had to fork out $19, but you get what you pay for. Mogami is quality. The lifetime warranty makes the purchase price easier to swallow.

Cables are essential - Don't go cheap.

Comments about Mogami Gold Series Instrument Cable:

An essential tool in your arsenal of equipment is the signal path from your instrument to the amp/pa via the cables.
Don't go cheap.
These are the cables to own. Yes, they are pricey and I hate when I have to buy new or more cables but the price of admission you get is quality build and stability.

You spend top dollar on your instrument, then you spend top dollar on you amp, then you go spend top dollar on effects. The next logical step? Go buy cheap cables to put them all together? No! Get the most out of your sound and buy Mogami. The sound of these cables (or lack of) is incredible! Worth every penny!
