The adventurous TransAtlantic TA-30 30W 2x12 tube guitar combo amp may well redefine the Brit amp genre by including preamp and power options that seem near impossible for an amplifier with such a humble footprint and manageable poundage. This TransAtlantic follows the architecture of its lower-powered sibling, the TA-15 and adds a more robust power section, gorgeous tube reverb, and a channel-assignable/bypassable effects loop. The extra horsepower and feature set on the TA-30 brings the TransAtlantic conceptâand, more importantly, toneâout of the studio and into the world of pro gigging.
Two footswitchable channels navigate the Atlantic with stylistic flair and give you a passport to the best British and American preamp sounds in two straightforward groups of five controls. The five preamp modes (2 in Ch.1 and 3 in Ch. 2) are selected with a simple mini toggle located in the top position of stacked toggles in each channel.
Along with this array of iconic preamps the TA-30 offers three amazing power choices in each channel, each of which allows you to perfectly tune the power to enhance the preamp mode chosen for a given footswitchable sound. The result of all this flexibility is a fully capable live-performance amp with an uncanny sense of direction that can also be switched down to 15 watts for lower volume power-clip applications or late-night sessions.

This amp is basically 5 amps in one. It sounds great in all 5 modes. Rich warm creamy tones! Sparkling cleans to screaming overdrive. This amp has it all. The Dyna watt switch it great allowing you to run each channel and a different wattage simultaneously. You can run your cleans at 30 watts for maximum head room and dirty channel at 15 watts for great tube hi-gain saturation without ear damaging volumes. Unless your playing a 20,000 seat stadium you have no need for a 100+ watt amp. Do yourself a favor and get this one. Mesa components have to test within 2% of the original spec. That means the tone you heard in all those demo videos you watched is the tone you get when you buy one. Most amp manufactures have a 20% component tolerance. Imagine playing your guitar within 20% of being in tune. I've have a vox and an orange and they sound good, but every time i plug into my TA-30 it sounds GREAT. Yes it's expensive but you get what you pay for. Its worth every penny.
