Heavy-duty, low-profile snare drum stand features a sure-grip snare basket, large serrated adjustment knob, and a secure tilt mechanism, plus standard Accent CS Series Custom Hardware features.
The 322SS Accent Snare Stand by Ludwig is quite a nice stand for the money. I purchased it in a hurry needing something quick for a new snare and I was pleasantly surprised by how nice it was. It has a nice basket adjustment, the large nut works great and these are typically found on stands at twice the price (although the threads are plastic, I would prefer metal for long term durability). This stand fits both my 14" and 10" snares nicely, though the rubber coating on the claws doesn't extend very far toward the center - so on small snares it's a little tricky to avoid meta-to-metal contact, but it can be done on my 10". With a 10" snare the basket is pretty deep so people who use a small snare and want it really low might have a problem. The adjustments all work nicely, clamps have plastic linings, and the basket tilter gear has enough teeth to offer plenty of adjustment freedom. The legs are wide enough to be stable, yet short enough to not be an obstruction underfoot. One of the really nice things about this stand is that the basket's center of gravity is directly over the main stand pipe, so it is very balanced and stable. I like this for an auxiliary snare because I have it raised up pretty high, and I don't have to worry about it falling over like you do with stands that have an offset basket. The only important features I would like to see are memory locks and a ball/socket tilter adjustment, but those are typically more advanced features and we're talking about bargain-priced stand here. I wasn't looking for the world's greatest stand in this one, just a good cheap stand with nice features - and I definitely found it! Thumbs up.
